I am a new guy here - been  a pop up owner of an 04 (late model) Niagara for two years now. A lot of great ideas and mods out there. I will endevor to post mine in the next month after it warms up a bit.

However - I am planning my mods for the season and one of the goals is to increase the storage space inside the camper by relocating stuff we haul. One of these is my blue aquatainer for the gray water.

So I plan on installing a 15G under trailer carrier for the tank. I know it cannot be used there - but it will increase my storage space inside. I am a designer (ME) and work for a company that makes cutom metal products. I plan on making the mount for the tank myself.

I saw somewhere some detailed pics of the mount on a trailer but cannot find them anywhere now.

Anyone have pics or links?

Thanks

Sorry I looked but couldn't find one. I know several folks have them and sooner or later someone will post some.
But, remember the underbody mount was only for the low profile tank. The "regular" shaped tanks don't allow enough ground dlearance. You might try a Jayco dealer. They also used them as optional equipment.

Yep - you have to get the slim Barker tank.

I have that - as well as a pic of 3 tanks with the mounts.

I just looking for further info before I design one in cad.

Fleetwood sold that as an accessory for a few years.  I don't know if they would be willing to give you information.  One think you might want to consider is that you will have to be on the ground to put the tank in the carrier.  Have you considered a bumper mounted system?:)

Yep - thought about the front back or top - but I have a bike rack on top, dual propane/battery on tongue ( which I am thinking of changine to add a tool box for the drill/ sockets) and the back - I am looking ar changing to add a small storage box (light weight stuff). So that leaves me the under.

My goal is to be able to have most everything I want inside the camper so when my better half is ready to go all we add is food/drink/clothes.

We tend to be pretty prepared. An example is the med kit - which is actually a decent size takle box with a pretty good selection of items.
