I'm looking for a private CG near Bedford PA. That is about the middle point between friends of ours in Canonsburg. Thanks for your help.

I think Friendship Village CG is near Bedford, Pa. We stayed there several times when the kids were younger and we all loved it. The sites were nice and there were lots of activities for the kids. Hope this helps.

Friendship Village looks great but the reviews talk about the highway noise. Any personal experiences?

As I remember we were about centrally located in the campground and I didn't notice any major road noise and I am a light sleeper. We camped in the summer and the AC ran in the camper so that may have masked the noise, if there was any. The campground was nice. On the far side of the campground is an assisted/retirement village and several times a year they have a Kid's Festival that all the people in the village help out with, running games and handing out prizes. My kids had a blast doing this when they were younger. On Friday or Saturday night (I forget which) the CG cooks a huge kettle of popcorn and the kids are encouraged to bring a container for some. There are also Sunday morning services open to all. All in All a nice place to camp, in my opinion.

I know it's been a month since the original message was posted but let put in my 2 cents anyway. We stay at the Friendship Village campground. We stayed in the back by the highway overpass. I could hear the traffic but only when I thought about it. I thought it was manageable. The campground is great otherwise. the kids spent most of the time at the playground. There are a couple of ponds for fishing. We love popcorn night. I would recommend it.

Thanks for all the replies. I did make my reservations at Friendship Village for the 4th of July.
