During the President's Day rally, it was mentioned of possibly having Rally flags made. I've been perusing the internet and found this cute trailer that could go on the flag. If interested in taking a peek, go to: http://www.embroidery.com/product.asp?sid={B374C035-E7C0-477D-A4C4-78BA75627C19}&productsetID=83631&EFID=71&shopstop=1 and let me know what you think. I also found a pop up trailer design but wasn't sure if we should use it as our logo since so many of us are moving up to hybrids.

After looking at Dee's address book I found that approx 15 flags would have to be made for those who usually attend rallies. In this case, I may be able to make the flags if the fabric isn't too hard to work with. If I make the flags, they won't be fancy but they would be able to be displayed. I will also try and get estimates for having flags made. Do you want them embroidered or silk screened?

BootheBunch

Cute!  We'd want a flag!

We'd love a flag - and we're fine with any method - silk screened or embroidered!

Flags would be super Kim......I really don't care about the design but I wouldn't want the pop up trailers to be hurt......I own a pup and it will be sometime before or if we upgrade still I would LOVE a flag..........Let me know if you need any help........Carol

We did ask about the possibility of doing flags. What if you could inculde two designs? One of a popup and one of a hybrid trailer on the flag with the word "SCCampers" joining the two designs? I went thru about ten pages of designs. Will post later today with what I found to add to the mix of ideas. Thanks for starting the ball rollling!

I think that a flag would be great. :D

I wonder if we shouldn't get the SCCampers logo on the flag.  With some of us having Pop-ups, some with Hybrids, Travel Trailers, &  Motorhomes, it may be more member friendly.

I'm in for a flag, The logo sounds good but may get pricey..but the only idea coming to me right now that is totally generic is a campfire :p

My idea was to put a trailer, possibly an outline of California and SCCampers on the flag.  If I did the flags, I have limited amount of room/memory to work with so not alot can go on it.  When I have time, I'll play with things and see what I come up with.  I'll purchase a little of the fabric to see how hard it would be to work with and go from there.

If I did the trailer, I'd have to purchase that design which is $20 and the pop up design is on a mult-design disk and will cost about $40.  I do have some designs in some of my design disks so I'll see if I have a campfire or something like that.

We want a flag also.  Any design would be o.k.  I will leave this in your capable  hands.  I've seen your work and know it woud be great.

I'm sure there would be some $$ help from some of us to help out in the R & D of these flags Kim.  You'd just have to ask.

I know Freedom5 is looking at designs but whatever design is used, it has to be compatible with the machine in which it will be used.  The designs I suggested are compatible with my machine.

This would be a nice logo:

I've called a few flag companies who do custom work and it looks like each flag will be minimum $20/each and that's for a very basic flag w/o wording.  I'm going to go to a local shop tomorrow and see what they say.  They would most likely applique the design and possibly embroider any wording.

I also contacted a promotions company that I used to work for who deals with custom items like:  pencils, balls, shirts, etc.  They don't do flags but recommended the "Flag Company".

If I were to embroider the flags, I was wondering how the coloring of the threads would hold up to the sunlight.  I don't know how many seasons they would last.

I'll get back to you guys in a few days or so with what the "Flag Shop" says.

can't the blank nylon garden flags be purchased at micheals or Jo ann's. that way you only have to put the emblem on. and everyone's name
