Rally Flags

I like the original (?) SCCampers logo. Are there any proprietary issues/constraints we have to be aware of? Pop up, pop out, who cares? As long as it has some sort of tent "stuff" on it I'm happy! And I'm in!

I too also like the original logo. Tattoos not a good idea - coming from a son of a Commander in the US Navy.

Yes there are issues with using proprietary rights of others. But who cares!!!!!!!! Let's do it. I won't tell if you don't tell. I mean the last time I saw a proprietary policeman was back in the 70's.

No problem. It was just one of our members who ripped off the design and modified it from the NNC group, if I remember correctly. I doubt Randy will mind.

Just my .02, our roots are in PUT and pop-ups, no matter what we're in now (or hope to be in!), so let's use the original SCCampers logo. We are the SCCampers, after all. We could even at the bottom of the flag list the PUT web address since we're an offshoot of Dave's baby.

I'm sorry -- I am a party pooper about tattoos. Saw way too many of them growing up and my father said he would tan my hide if I ever got one. But something tells me Lisa that you already have a tattoo.

Oh, shoot.....I tell everything! Actually, nah, I don't have a tattoo. My dad was a Marine (fought in Vietnam), got a "USMC" tattoo when he was in....and always said it was a dumb mistake, how he regretted it (I always thought his tat was cool). He told me and my sis that we better NOT get one...or he'd be disappointed. And, believe it or not...we listened to him! Had he said he'd be mad...we may have defied him....but "disappointed"---that would be too much for two "Daddy's Girls".

For the record, a number of different people mentioned the idea of SCCampers flags to me at the FF rally. I was too busy losing my child and then becoming neurotic about where he was all weekend, so I never managed to get down to that "other group" to see their flags, and I have no idea what they looked like or what we're trying to reproduce here.

Someone at FF asked me whether we had a logo--don't remember who asked or who was standing there when I answered. All I know is that somehow or other, I ended up being the "keeper of the logo" (see my avatar). Brad asked me to e-mail it to him and I did. That's it. I promise I didn't take over any project or exclude anyone from any loop. I've been working my patootie off since we got back from FF and haven't had time to spend with my family like I should, let alone take over the world of flag making. I apologize if there was any confusion, but might I be so bold as to suggest that whoever wants to work on the flags could contact one another and work together on them?

Kim, I'd be happy to send you the logo. I appreciate all the time and effort you've put in on this and again, I'm sorry if any confusion or hurt feelings were created over this.
