Today was a nice sunny warm day that I couldn'r resist opening up the PU. I cleaned it out and re-organized it to get Her ready for our trip to Campland later this month. I also did some MODS, i made a cover to go over the water heater vent, so the wind wont blow out the pilot light anymore, i have to say the cover came out like i bought it from a store, I had to pat myself on the back for this one... I also mounted an ammo box to the front of the PU next to the propane tank, this i will use as my tool box... and last but not least, i put velcro on the part of the Pop-Up Gizmo solar covers that fits under the roof and stappled the part under the roof so it wont pull off..... I cant wait to get out of Vegas for some R & R. This place will drive you CRAZY   :screwy:
I also re-grease the bearing and had to put on a new door latch, because the other one would lock itself when you closed the door. I asked the dealer if it was under warrantyand they told me not that, so i called Jayco awhile back and they sent me a New one free of charge, they agreed that the latch shouldn't have broken only after having the PU for 1 year, that was cool.....
Happy Camping   :D

We just got home from picking our up from the dealer.  In a few minutes I plan to open mine up and reload as well.  I can't wait!

I am pea-green with envy.

I was just speaking with the super at the park where "Joey" is stored and apparently he is completely snowed-in.

Sorry about that, We're originally from Wisconsin so I know about all that snow stuff. Here in Vegas today it was almost 70*, I dont miss the snow!!!!!

The Taj MaHaul is also snowed in.  We had DS knock most of the snow off the roof; it was up near two feet.

I've been wanting to get our PUP opened up for a week now.  Then it rains.. Now the temperature is in the teens.  Tomorrow, we expect 2-3 inches of SNOW.

Jeez.  It's MARCH!  The wind is supposed to be blowing (it is, but the temps make it feel like JANUARY), and we have already had our "In like a lion."  I am ready for the, "...out like a lamb," part.

So I figure I'll make it throught this week and be able to pop it up this weekend.  But, Noooooooooooooooo!  It's gonna RAIN.  And it ain't even APRIL, yet!  (I guess when April gets here, we'll have a FLOOD!  Which will wash away the May FLOWERS.)

I can't wait for JULY.

Sorry Chip and Austin, hopefully that weather wont last long. Its suppose to be in the low 80s this weekend here in Vegas, its very unusual weather for this time of the year, but I'm not complaining.........Ed

I'll find out what weather in Vegas is like in April.  I have a conference there, so I'll be in there for three days.  :)

I leave mine up in the yard because I'm constantly tinkering with it.  It also helps me watch for leaks and such, as well as testing it's stability in the wind!  We've had some real bad wind (60mpg gust) several times this year due to severe thunderstorms, and it hasn't budged.  To be honest, I didn't leave it up on purpose, but it's a two person job to open or close, and my 2nd person was out of town.  We'll be camping in a week, so we are cleaining and starting to pack ours again FINALLY!
