Sorry I can't make it, it is too far for a weekend.  It is the week that there are supposed to be big changes in my job at work.  I am camping the weekend before and the weekend after. :)

Wish we could make it too, Paula, but our DS turns 19 that day and I'm sure we will be partying in some manner or other!

I changed campgrounds, they are not having the recognition event at Killens this year. It is going to be an indoor event in Dewey beach.  So Ichanged my reservation to Cape Henlopen...sort of been hedging this since it will be June and Cape Henlopen does not have electricity.  I think the evenings will be OK, but the days....am getting closer to buying a generator and having pepBoys load it in the back of the truck and just unzox and use from there...lets see...  .293 BTU/watt...gee I do not need a big one for the Cabin A But a HUGE one for the Bantam...what to do what to do...

Home before the beach traffic...One nice thing about dry camping by yourself in a resort area is that there is not a whole lot to pack as there wa not much to unpack...dinners...well all meals were taken out and the great thing is, if I cut things up small enought I can eat almost EVERYTHING (though staying away hard things like salad, slaw, chicken strips and bacon).

Thursday night was great sleeping weather...the neighbors are another story, the biggest peskiest "neighbor" was the rest room right next door...the door slammed all night long AND people coming in late, thought the lighted building was a place to congregate and talk...also walking to and from the rest rooms, people were NOISY...Cape henlopen does not have electricity only water on most sites.  So the camper (and I took the Bantam for ventalation), was wide open...waiting for any breeze that might blow my way.

I had one of the better sites for the late afternoons, it was well shaded, the shade was on the western side of the campsite...so it was great to sit in my Lafuna wanna be chair and lay back and relax.

Did get the bantam cleaned out (old tylenol and an open can of coffee packs and other things tossed...yes me tossing something).  Had to buy a new set of sheets for the small bunk end as Some one had gotten into the trailer a year ago, and I thought I had caught it and sealed everything back up, but evidently the sheet and tent end got wet...the sheet I could todd, the tent end took longer...which is interesting since I am alergic to both mold/mildew and bleach...toxic combo. but with air pouring in it was OK...

HeY I can use my tank now...the problem was that the tank's empty valve was INSIDE the railer, under the bench seat, so to get to it, I had to drop the table and lay across it to get to the lever...hence it was NOT used...well, I saw Camper John's and Shelly's set up and went to Home depot, came back with a valve, some tubing and a radiator clamp.

Put water in the tank, the proceeded to stuff my tubing up the tank's tubing, clampred it so nothing comes out there, and ran my tubind to the bumper where the previous owner was nice enough to put a pressure treated board...I got plastic hose clamps, used one to get home as screwing into that wood wa no fun, so I need to drill pilot holes for the rest...moral of the story??? IT WORKS!!!
New end holder/screwy thingies that keep the bunk ends from coming open, these have holes where I can put padlocks in them to lock down all 4 screwwy things so someone (and those who know me knows who I am talking about), cannot get in the camper to use it for...well what ever teenagers use campers for...

The truck drags the bantam beautifully...Raymond did call me on the way down...he had changed the air filter and checked the oil, it was dirty, he told me to get an oil change and a tranny service while I was out...yeah right, tranny service in a resort area...I had to drive to Milford to get an oil change...Walmart of course.

Wow Paula, what a trip you had.  I can't wait to see your mod, as I have the same problem with my water tank...have to get in the seat to turn it on and off.  I am so proud of you.  Maybe I can look at yours next weekend.  Sounds like you have a good trip...see you soon.
