Quote from: MikeWWouldn't you want to use the BAL to level the pop-up but then insert the lynx levelers as a safety feature?  Similar to car jacks and car stands.

Some things might not be worth paying for.

I have never heard of either a BAL or a stack of Lynx failing.  As a normally overly-cautious guy, even I can't see much to be gained by using both, but if you're the belt-and-suspenders type, be my guest.  I hope there's room under the BAL for a Lynx.  :D

Thank you.  I'm new to Pup up world.  In fact, I don't own one yet, but I am a tent camper.  So I'm learning and researching all of the Ins and Outs of a pop up and pop-up camping.

Quote from: waveryMike,

The Bal Leveler captures the tire and it can't roll off (or move in any way). In that sence, it's even safer than the Lynx Levelers (not that they are not safe).

I use the Linx levelers with 2 of their Stop N Chocks.  The BAL looks like it might be simpler to use thought. With the Linx you have to guess about how many to put on the stack and I frequently end up moving the camper on and off of the stack to get it right.  I've also seen a ramp-type-wheel-chock-leveler that might work OK.  Maybe when the Linx wear out.

My BAL lasted for about 6 uses before it broke at the welds. I can have it re-welded but what a hastle. Shouldn't it be made to support a tent trailer?

I would recommend getting in touch with the manufacturer. They have a great reputation.

Quote from: tlhdocCongratulations on the new PU.  Did you find a BAL Leveler yet?:)

Yes I did, MSCamping supply.... even picked up the camper a week early! :yikes: . Had it set up an hour after got it home and started wrenchin. :eyecrazy:  This cabinet too big not to have a shelf in it. Ha Ha....Need to add pop a napkin here, pop a plate over there. Next comes the drain for fresh water tank.(so you don't have to get under it) And homemade TV antennae. You know all those things that the dealer said not to do!

PS the BAL leveler worked great! Have to raise one side of camper about 3" to make it level, it was solid never moved. (of course i put the pads down also) It's alot more stabil with the BAL as to the Lynx levelers.

Contact the manufacturer.  They have redesigned it and I know of several people that have contacted them and been very satisfied with the service.

One  pad came off mine, too.  Called them, and had a new one, FREE, within 5 days!
