We are in Austin and love visiting all the State of Texas Parks, but try to do that before the 100 degree weather hits.  Then around June, July, August and sometimes September we head for Davis Mountain State Park out in west Texas, New Mexico or Colorado.  Years of tent camping and moved up to a pop-up in February 2006.  This is a great site with lots of invaluable advice for the novice PU camper.  Enjoy and Gig'Em.
