I just purchased a 97 Palamino Pony.  While looking at it, I made sure the hand pump worked on the sink.  It worked just fine.  I purchased the camper and packed it up to go home.  When I got home I set it up to show the kids and their was water all over the floor that was comming from the faucet.  It there an On/off position for the handpump?  When I flip the sink down, water comes out of the faucet.

Thanks

One thing that you can do is empty the tank before folding down the galley. Then pump all of the water out of the pump until you are just pumping air.

Even then, it's a good idea to put a folded up towel on the floor to catch the water. We do that every time. When we get home, we pull  the towel out so that it doesn't get moldy.

another trick is to use one of the plastic caps that comes from the small propane bottles. they usually fit the faucet nice and snug and no water leakage.
good luck

So it is natural for water to leak from the facuet when the galley is folded down?

The water was what was remaining in the line from the tank to the hand pump. What I do when traveling with water in the tank is disconnect the line from the tank, give the pump a few pumps to remove the water from the line, then re-connect the line to the tank, flip the counter/sink over into the travel mode.

I will give that a try
