Hi everyone been lurking around and finally joined up. Lots of great info here. Currently I am searching for a pop-up for our family. One piece of info I can't find is a weight limit on the bunkends. My wife and I are not small people and I was wondering about the ends starting to sag or not being strong enough. Has anyone experienced this or is this some thing I don't need to worry about. Any help would be great

My pup book states "all beds tested to 1,100 lbs. capacity".  I have not personally tested this theory but we have had around 450 lbs. in the beds.  Hope this helps.  :U

"standards" for bunkends are as follows:

Double bunk (48") 700-750 pounds

Queen bunk (54") 800-900 pounds

King Bunk (60" +) 1000-1200 pounds.

Fleetwood back around 2000 had an ad which featured one of the their 12 foot PU's with the canvas off the front bunk end and a 1400 pound 8 foot Taos PU trailer sitting on the bunk.

Welcome!  ... as they say, the more the merrier!

Being an old pack-rat I tend to hang onto "stuff". Last time I was in the market for a popup was early 2000 and then I ended up buying a left over '99 model. But I still have all the sales brochures!

I ended up buying a Starcraft and the sales brochure for that time pictured a large size Starcraft (can't make out the model) with the canvas removed from each end but the large sized beds extended; and there are adult people standing on each end, seven on the front and six on the rear, with a caption saying "the bunk supports are engineered and tested to support up to 1,153 pounds".  Also have a 2000 Coleman (Fleetwood) brochure which simply says their "bunk ends are tested to support over 1,000 pounds (750 for the Taos model)".  If the literature your looking at does not have some information along this line you might want to send them an e-mail requesting those specifics.

Would HIGHLY Recomend the Jayco 14SO, Jayco is no longer making this modle but Man is it roomy Full slide and 2 King beds it will sleep 7 EZ. I am sure there are some that have had bad there ups and downs with this camper ( as I am sure with all makes and modles) but for us this has been a GREAT Camper.
