I just pulled out my awning for the first time and discovered I have three complete poles with a rubber boot on one end and three incomplete poles with a black plastic boot on one end.  The side with the little metal spring loaded dowels is missing on the incomplete poles.  So never having set up an awning before I am not sure if anything is actually missing.  The awning is at a shop getting a new zipper so I do not have it for a reference and will not have it for a week.   I believe there are three that sit horizontally against the tarp piece and three that sit vertically holding it up from what I saw at the dealer with a new camper??  If that is the case then I am missing three halfs.  Is this correct?

Thanks for any feedback.

I know on my '89 Colman, the 3 with the rubber feet or the horizontal stretchers that go out from the roof to the end of the awning, rubber feet against the roof. The black feet ones or the verticles that hold it up and slide into ones that are attached to the awning end. they usually stay attached, just slid in most of the way whaen rolled up. My pup only has 2 of the verticle poles.  Hope this is helpful.

If it is a Fleetwood/Coleman awning (white with grey/green stripes), the 3 poles with the rubber ends and black plastic tips are the "rafters".  The rubber poles go against the roof and the black plastic tips go in the awning rail.  The other 3 poles that are incomplete are the legs that go down to the ground.  It sounds like the leg poles have been taken apart.  The top section is connected to the awning rail and the bottom section with the black plastic boot is the part that you have.  When you get your awning back check if the upper section of the poles are attached to the awning rail.  Here is a tip, on the poles there is a wide stripe.  Line the wide strip on each section of the poles and the metal buttons will line up with the poles.:)

Thanks for the information.  It has been very helpful.  I should have opened up the awning before I took it to the shop for the new zipper, lesson learned.  Hopefully the other halfs do not disappear if they are actually there.
