The solar covers do help a lot with keeping the bunkends clean.  All of the cleaning you don't have to do is worth the cost.

Just purchased the gizmos, will be using them this weekend for the first time.

I used solar auto windsheild protectors from the dollar store. It took about 6 (cut and duct taped to fit) to make mine then just slide them under the mattress for storage. A very cheap alternative, and I am cheap :p

We have also used the Gizmo's for  a couble of years.

The benefits are numerous, I agree with all the reasons stated and we have yet another one for us.

When running the air conditioner a small amount of water accumulated from the a/c on our room. When we crank down this water comes down and into the end of the trailer. We just leave our gizmo's on draped to the ground and the water doesn't get in the trailer.

We love em.

Some hardware stores (ACE?) sell the 2' & 4' wide Reflectex by the foot, rather then by the roll.
