Hello All,

Just wanted to say Hi and introduce the Putnam's to this happy and informative bunch! We currently reside in the Atlanta area and have been tent campers for many years (both of my daughters, ages 13 and 6, are trained professionals). We recently purchased a '06 Fleetwood Niagara and have made a mostly successful transition to the pop-up world. We are definitely enjoying it. I would like to know if any of you good people have any information on my year model Niagara. I am looking for things like maintenance trouble spots or mods that are just intchin' to be made. Any info would be helpful.

Thanks,
Mongo

Welcome, you are definitely in the right spot for any questions you have and boy will you get answers to them.

Congratulations! on your new PUP.  We owned an 05 Niagara and LOVED it, we only sold it because we found that we needed at HTT for longer trips.

Welcome, again

OC Campers

Welcome Putnam family.   I know you will love your new Niagra.  I have "camper envy".  The new Niagra is a beautiful camper.  It has  Plenty of room for a family to move around.   I am sure you will make some awesome memories in your new camper.  We have had our popup for 7 years now and still love camping in it.  I just wish we had more time to go.  With a teenager it gets tougher and tougher to go as a family.:(

If you ever have any other quesitions don't be afraid to post them.  When we first got our trailer we had some severe towing problems with our van and camper.  Someone on popuptimes had a similar camper/tow vehicle setup and helped us correct the problem.  Thanks Austinboston!!

We also have an 06 Niagara and have had only one "trouble spot"

The step that leads to the bed by the shower worked its way lose.  It is stapled with small staples and I noticed it was lose while cleaning the floor.  I am glad one of us didn't step on it in the middle on the night and go sliding across the camper!

DH got some wood glue and fixed it right up.

We love our Niagara.  We haven't used the oven yet but I am looking forward to trying it soon.  Everything else works great,

Sherry

Hello, Putnams!  Welcome to PUT!

You have made a BIG step up from tent camping.

We have an '07 Niagara, and will be installing some shelving over the next couple of camping trips.  One, maybe two, over the sink, and maybe some over the bunkends.

I am having trouble finding a need for much more, in the way of mods.

I didn't know about the step by the shower.  I'll have to keep an eye out on that one.  Especially since that's MY end of the camper...

The oven, by the way, tends to run a little on the warm side.  An oven thermometer may be a good idea if you bake a lot.  (Note to self:  Get a thermometer.)

Thanks for the heads-up. We have used our oven - the only problem seems to be the mysterious extinguishing of the pilot light every so often. It may be my daughter though.
