Hello All:

I am looking for info on the top molding strip that mounts on the top of the door that keeps the dust and water out when the PUP in down and the door rests on when in place. Mine was pretty much gone when I bought my trailer and don't know what it is suppose to look like I know that has to be semi close to the original otherwise the door will not fit into place. Any one have pic's of this molding? Is it a dealer part? Thanks in advance.

I have a 95 eagle 8 sd, with the same problem. It lookes like the door has a lip that came up and sealed, but was broken off.

Currently i have a piece of foam (non-aborbant) blocking it off best it can.

w/o a reference the best longterm fix is see  is adding a piece of door dealant (squeegie like door seal than hangs down) to the door and/or the roof lip.

Of course i have to also replace the wood in the door, as the PO didnt get it sealed up and the door rotted, thank goodness it was only the door.

If anyone has a similiar model a reference would be great :)

The door seal on my 2006 1207 is beginning to crack, and I expect it will fall off in the next few weeks.  As described above, this is the seal on the small travel door.  It is a grey "L-shaped" seal that is attached to the top of the door with a few small screws.

Is there an on-line source for Jayco Service parts, or at least a replacement seal?  This is such a simple repair I'd rather just do it myself than go through the hassle of hauling the camper to a dealer for warranty work.

When y'all find out, let me know. I need one too, but I can't afford to even ask what the dealer want for one. The last time I asked about a simple part, I wound up feeling like I criminal. "We don't sell those because they NEVER fail unless someone has abused the camper..." Yeah right...

I replaced mine last December. My local Jayco dealer is about 2 hours away. They had it shipped directly to me. Your dealer will need the VIN for your PUP. The piece came quite a bit longer than needed, so I just cut it with a utility knife to fit. It works great.

The weatherstrip piece plus 2 drawer catches plus shipping was a hair under $20, so the weatherstrip piece must have been less than $10.

Edit: If your dealer acts uninterested, call my dealer: Bill Plemmons RV, 888-746-2351, Rural Hall, NC.

Last weekend we were in Northern Michigan, and stopped by to see our dealer regarding the door seal.  He replaced it on the spot under warranty.  The family never even got out of the truck!  Quick and easy.  I love it!  :D

The replacement seal is of a different design and material than the original.  Looks like Jayco may have had enough problems with it that they improved the part.

Wow, that's what I call customer service! Glad it worked out that well.

BTW, the floor plan of your 1207 is really great. I might consider that one if I ever decide to upgrade.
