I found a seller on ebay that sells these for about half the cost of a new one. They are dometic brand and have a 3 year warranty on them, just like a new model. My husband says absolutely no. The seller says they are never more than 2 years old, and some have never been used. And I know "reconditioned" can mean it is a floor model, an open box model, etc. His auction says they bench test all their units and they are in 100% working order when sold. So what do you all think? He wants $300 for a 13,500 BTU model. Thanks for any input or experiences you've had with these... ;)

If they have a reasonably high seller rating, then it is probably a decent buy.

Reconditioned units are usually exactly that: Rebuilt in some way, cleaned up like new. Not usually open-box or something like that.
