Primary tow vehicle is a 1998 GMC Sonoma.  2200 Vortec 4 banger.  Has the towpackage on it.  It sure is a lionhearted little truck.  Hauls my 17" boat around like it's not even there.  Been usung it now for nine years.  No problems at all.  Brakes go about 25k.  Pulls our Coleman Redwood without working up a sweat.

Bought a 2003 Chevy Venture V6 with tow package and I think the GMC out hauls it.  Judging by how easy and fast they reach road speed on an entrance ramp to the interstate. Just normal driving the GMC is at 55mph long before having to merge hauling the boat (about 2000#).  The Venture will use up most of the ramp before hitting 55.  Just me driving and wife riding.  Even went so far as hooking both vehicles to each trailer and  two drivers.  From a standing start the GMC pulls away from the Venture easily no matter what it was hauling. Overall I really like the Venture but love my Jimmy.

Our TV is a 2003 4x4 one ton Ford van with a Gasoline V10 engine that eats gas like it's going out of style. But, it does tow our pop up [from gas station to gas station] without any problem. Russ
