I imagine a lot of you will be camping this holiday weekend and thought it would be fun to hear who is and where you plan on camping at.  Who knows some of us might end up at the same campground.

As for us we will be camping at Bennett Springs State Park located in Lebanon Missouri.  We have a 14mi float trip on the Niangua River planned for Saturday.  We plan on spending the rest of our time trout fishing, geocaching, and sitting around the campfire.

We are going to RB Winter SP in PA.  Our BSA troop has an obligation on Sunday evening, so for this trip we stay close to home each year.  We may go to Penns Cave or Woodward Cave over the weekend.:)

We're camping on the back side of some friends' property near the Potomac river. They put in 4 (or 5?) water and electric hookups just so we could all camp together on busy holiday weekends at our own private campground! They were supper fantastic friends before this and now they are even better. We have all helped them do improvements on their property and house and we have been awarded life-time memberships in this private exclusive camp resort! LOL We get to inaugurate the new "Hot Tub" Party room this weekend! Yeah!!! Campfires, Hot Tub, Good friends, Good food, and lots of stars.......nothing is better! Hope everyone has a safe and fun Holiday weekend! Take a moment to remember all those who should be remembered and honored!

I and the DW will be working Memorial Day, but come Tuesday morning, we will be heading for a state park while everyone else will be leaving to go back to work. Gas today is $3.35 here so camping trips will be shorter drives this year.
Everyone have a Great Holiday!!!  :U

we'll be in lancaster pa - ...watching the amish plow their fields and awaiting their daily except Sunday trips around the campground selling pies, cookies and cakes etc. from their horse and buggy wagon.  The kids will do some fishing with granddad and grandma the girls and myself will get some shopping in at the nearby outlets --- I know I know, but it will be my birthday and dmil always buys my gift then.  Plenty of campfires, playing washers and cards.  If we are lucky and the weather is just right they also have a hot air balloon event and they ride close over the campground ever rising higher.  What a beautiful sight it is.

Safe journeys to you all and enjoy the beauty and freedom we have to enjoy it.

To all the vets or servicemen who may be reading this, I thank you for that freedom.
