I just did a "Simple Search" (upper right side of this page) on "axle flip".

If it's a Dexter axle, contact Dexter about a flip kit (or lift kit or whatever they call it).  If Captain Scrappy did what I think he did (turn the axle itself over), it will lead to uneven tire wear.  I believe the axle is designed to flex slightly in certain ways, and turning it over intereferes with that flexing.

On mine I used the same hardware and just flipped it.

I have heard about the axles being like that, but I haven't noticed any uneven tire wear yet and I have taken around 2000+ miles since.

A Coleman/Fleetwood has a Dexter bowed axle.  The bow provides "camber" to the wheels.  Dexter sells an over/under conversion kit, so that you maintain the axle in the correct orientation to keep the proper camber.

what about brakes, is there some rewiring that would have to be done?

I flipped mine. Check with dexter see if they have a kit, they didn't for mine so I had to weld on spring perches (that what the leaf springs sit on) and buy U bolts. It wasn't a big deal, but took most of the weekend as I had to remove the axle and bring it to a welder. The brake shouldn't be a problem, just cut the wires and reattach. Use tape and mark the wires so you know which goes where.

I was thinking I could just turn the axle over and use existing perches guess not. Were you able to put a taller tire on?

I can, but haven't yet. I have a 20" tire on now, but can put a 24" tire on. I think a 170 R 80
