We survived our maiden voyage to Inks Lake, TX. 4 days, 3 nights, 2 canoes, 1 fish, 1 thunderstorm, 1 wet dog, 5 jumps(falls) into the lake and lots of fun.  Everything was great. Our next trip is to North Tex. Joe Pool Lake area. 2 more nights. On to the questions....

1. We have an RVQ outside grill that we used for everything, but it sure gets dirty and grimey quick. I have the standard grill brush, but is there any preventative measures to help with clean up and what is a good cleaner for it once we return home?

2. Does anyone use car wax on the PUP top?  Birds, trees, bugs, we had it all on the top. What is recommended for protection?  The PUP stows in the garage.

Thanks...

Hey a fellow Texan!!  We're in Corpus Christi and are going to try and fit Inks Lake in sometime while it's still warm or make it just a good fishing trip when it starts to cool down.

We've only used our grill once and it cleaned up pretty easy.  You could spary it with Pam in hope's of stuff not sticking or maybe line it with foil to be able to just take out the foil and toss it.  I would think sparying the grill itself with Pam would help things not stick to it.  We usually take along an Ol' Smokey pit or just use the fire rings at the campsite.

Never used was on the top just good old soap and water and brush.

Good luck!!
