How do you sleep together?

What a riot!  :-()  :-()

We sleep in the king bunk with our heads to the front, and my feet hang off a bit over the dinette.  (I'm 6'5" tall)  The kids sleep back in the queen bunk, side to side.  AND we usually have a fan running for white noise to help us sleep better.

I sleep with my head to the outside, feet to the inside.  If it's JUST me on the bunk, I might end up diagonally on the bed.  I'm tall so I let my feet dangle.

My friends who camp with us most of the time .. sleep the other way, side by side so they have to crawl over each other to get out of bed ..

(and from what I heard, they "crawled" a bunch the first time we all went out in it .. while I was sleeping .. and I didn't wake up).

But the joke is, if I ever hear them "crawling" on their bed, there might be a huge bright flash from my side of the trailer

Their kids sleep on the dinette.  Mine sleeps .. wherever.

We sleep head in, feet out. I'm 6'3" and with just a very minor angle nothing hangs off.

We tried the side by side with me in her out, but she does *alot* of crawling.

We have a 2002 Coleman Niagara so we have two king beds and we sleep with our feet into the center of the camper. We "steal" the mattress from one end and double up on the thickness of foam, thus saving the bones from resting directly on the plywood. We use to have a king blow-up mattress that was positioned under the foam and that was great until the wood splinters made mincemeat of that mattress.
I agree that crawling over each other is half the fun, so is the snuggling part. We sleep with our heads at the far ends of the bed so that we can unzip the canvas areas allowing fresh air even if slightly drizzling or if humidity does not allow the canvas to be totally opened.
I guess when we start to ask for separate beds, then I am going to sell the popup and stay home in my true king bed and silent room! Sounds like death to me!!!

DW sleeps towards the outside, I sleep towards the inside. Climbing over IS fun, but wait until the return trip!!!

My hubby is 6'2" and I'm only 5'4", we tried sleeping in the bunkend as intended, but he couldn't stretch his legs. So, we set the "couch" cushions across the camper next to the bunkend (where the table would be) and sleep feet into the middle of the camper. Noone has to jump over the other (although that can be fun!!) and he can stretch his legs. It only takes a minute or two to put the cushions back to "couch" mode in the morning. The kids (DS almost 9 and DD 3 1/2) sleep in the other bunkend, the intended way. We have a 30 yr old Coleman Brandywine that we restored last year.

Obviously, if you needed someone to sleep on the couch/bed, this wouldn't work.

Side by side with me inside and DW on the outside.  Works well since I'm the one that gets up a couple times a night to drain.  She rarely gets up at all and if she does she wakes me and I move enough so she can crawl over.  I get back to sleep real easy so it's no big deal.  I've gotten up and walked to the campground potty in 45 degree weather to return and be asleep again in less then a minute.  It's a gift.   :)

I have the same gift (from sailing so much) but there is no way that I would give Carolyn any room to get past.....she's gotta go right over the top of me. :sombraro:
