we just got back from our very first camping trip with our new Fleetwood Saratoga pop up! Too bad it was only 4 days! We chose Bayview CG in Bourne, just over the Bourne bridge. June 17-20th was still considered off season, so we had a discounted rate. However, most everything was closed until tomorrow, the 22nd. That included the cute hot dog/ice cream stand just feet from our site and the general store which looked good. But our camp site was large and clean, we were hundreds of feet from the arcade, the two adjoining swimming pools and a giant playground. I had my boys at the playground about 4 times a day and we met great kids to play with. Interestingly, the kids we met told us lots of places to go and where not to go. These kids, ages 5-14 actually did not like Bayview bc they are rather strict. Apparently, there was a near drowning last season bc a child was not properly supervised. So as a result, they do not allow any flotation devices on kids unless it is a coast guard approved life vest. We did not know this going in but since it was off season, no one said anything to us since the boys had bubbles on we had previously purchased at our local Y. But the kids we spoke to had been told their 5 year old sister could not wear her flotation suit. They were also given a complaint about their dog barking. Not a concern for us as we don't have a pet. There were barking dogs there, but didn't bother us. I found it quiet at night. The kids did say you won't find bigger sights than at Bayview. Met some nice seasonal campers there and they all seemed pretty content. I will say, there bathrooms are SPOTLESS.....and while the showers are metered, the kids we met said to turn on the shower and lo and behold, someone had overpaid on one and I got a free hot shower! My boys had a great time, though I was a little bummed there was no entertainment or activities bc of the time we were there. They are also one of the few cg's on the cape that allow campsite fires. I'm not sure that I'd go back only bc we love to camp in Plymouth. However, it was a very nice experience. Nice supermarket right down the street-Grand Union. Of course we hit the Christmas Tree shop near the Sagamore bridge. Lots of nice things to see....here is our Shutterfly album:

Hi Tina,
THanks for the review...I've never been there but my husband has years ago...they've always been pricey so we go to other campgrounds on the cape....Sippewissett in Falmouth, Sweetwater Forest in Brewster, and somewhere else just can't remeber right now...
WHere do you stay in Plymouth????  We've been to Sandy Pond and Indianhead...before....

Hi Chris!

we've actually not stayed anywhere in Plymouth with this new camper and with our boys! As kids, Ray and I camped with our families. I used to go to Myles Standish alot and we tented. It was rustic to say the least, but great times for sure. Now that we have the camper, we are headed for Sandy Pond on Monday and then to Pinewood Lodge on July 27th. We heard rave reviews on Pinewood from kids we met in Bayview. I will definitely be sure to come back with reviews!
