Has anyone been to Blue Rocks Family Campground in Lenhartsville, Pa?  My family and I plan to take our Starcraft popup there this coming weekend.  I have heard that the sites are very small (for RV's), but don't know what problems we'll have with a pop-up.

Hey There...

We are very familiar with the Blue Rocks Family Campground, however, we have only tent camped there.

We love the campground.  The tent sites are very wooded and rather private.  The hike up to the pulpit is second to none (we are not hikers, or in shape for that matter, but its a relatively easy hike).  The scenery at the top is absolutely awesome....You are right next to hawk mountain, so you are actually above the hawks just watching them ride the air currents.

The boulder field is a neat thing also, bigger than other boulder fields that I have been to, and its in this private campground.  The showers are so-so, could use updating.  The store is well stocked, and pretty reasonably priced.  We never came across unfriendly people there ourselves.

Now, that being said, I think it might be a different experience for an RV.  I think the hook up sites are smaller, and more closely grouped together.  I have yet to be there with my new pop up (used, but new to us).  I went on rvparkreviews.com and people with RV's don't seem to like the campground as much as we do with our tents.

We plan on checking out other campgrounds before we go back to bluerocks with our pop up, just so we have something to compare it to.

If we were still tenting, we'd go back there in no time.  I am 31yrs old, and went there with my parents when I was like 6 or 7.  Went there growing up, and then stopped in the teen years.  Then senior year of High School, we did one last big thing as friends and my wife and I (highschool sweetheart at the time) kept going back year after year.

Crystal Cave is nearby, and thats a cool diversion.  Cabelas superstore is now opened up, so that is a cool diversion.  Supposedly Yuengling brewery is close by....

We like it, but haven't been to many other CG's yet.  Read the reviews on the rvparkreviews.com and check out their website (google Blue Rocks Family Campground for the real site).

Hope this helps?
