Hi All - newbie here

I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and my family - I'm Eric, my wife is Kim, and my 19 month old boy is Cody.  We JUST picked up our brand-spankin-new pop-up today (07 Flagstaff 228D).

I'm hoping to become active here on the forums (time permitting), attend some rallys, and to learn a lot from all of you that have been doing the pop-up thing for many years!  (I'm gonna have some questions - that's fer sure!)

Congrats.. You'll like it lots. I've got a 2007 Flagstaff 228 (not the "D"). You'll enjoy it much though!

Yes, Welcome and congrats onthe new PU!!  Although we have moved on to a hybrid, we had many, many wonderful trips and memories in our PU. May you as well!

Good call, Wayne. I was going to suggest the same thing. Naganthunter, if you ever want to camp with a group, we've always got something coming up. Check back often, because someone is always going camping.

 There is a rally for labor day coming up. I do know that one of our friends has cancelled, but I don't know if Dee (wagonmaster) has signed off on this as being full. At least since it is in your backyard, come join us for fun, food and a blazing campfire!

  Where have you been? This was started way back in April, 07. Are you sure you are not a newbie? just like I wrote to Eric, you need to check more than once a week! I think you have a prior engagement. But you are one funny person, thinking that we keep rallies from you!

Welcome to the group. Looking forward to meeting you. We are fairly new also. We were a little hesitant on meeting people we met on the "internet". Freedom-5, who has posted on his thread lives down the street from us, We met and he ended up going with me to picked up my new2me trailer a couple months ago.  We have become good friends in a very short time. My family and I attended the last rally in Beullton, a little hesitent on who we would meet being from the internet.  To tell you the truth, it seemed like we have known everyone for years, felt very comfortable with everyone. A great bunch of people to camp with, and we hope to grow closer each trip. We had a blast and our own personal opinion is...bottom line...we couldn't find a better group to go camping with. sorry about being long winded, but we wanted to be sure you knew what your getting yourself into...ha ha. WELCOME.

Not sure I can make anything too soon - still need to outfit the camper with essential equipment/supplies.

Along those lines, anyone know of a good generic on-line list of pop-up camping essential suppies/equipment - besides food and drink

the BAD: there's no bad, unless you're at the campfire after beans were served at the potluck dinner
the UGLY: cactus coolers (you'll learn about that once you camp w/us)

I lived in San Clemente from 85-92; it's a great place to live.
 
 
Outfit, schmoutfit. If you don't have something, one of us does and we're always willing to help out.  Buuuuuttt, if you want a list, I have a four-pager that was my "inventory" for our PU. I'd be happy to e-mail it to you if you'd like.
 
So no more excuses--it's time to come camping.
