7/21 San Clemente SB- Come on down camping or not!

Hi folks.  We haven't been out camping since Flying Flags back in Feb?.  I've also been ignoring the online camping groups.  So I haven't been actively pushing the trip next weekend to San Clemente.

Just as a recap- I have reservations for the group site at San Clemente State Beach for next Friday (7/20) and Saturday nights.  The site allows up to 50 people and 20 vehicles.  It is dry camping, but cool ocean breezes and a nice bathhouse/restroom just 100' from the site means you don't need a fancy solar/generator equipped trailer.  

The site is great for many reasons, not least is that there is ZERO walk through traffic.  A sign on the entrance road says "group campers only" and there's a small loop road in front of the site.  Great for kids to run in circles on!  There is a 4' fence at the top of the bluffs so no worry about people stumbling down the hill.

As of now it looks like there are only 6 families signed up.  We easily have room for 4 more.  Why not join us?

If that won't work, how about joining for the day on Saturday.  It appears that we'll have a breakfast potluck at 9:00 and dinner at 6:00.  Or was that breakfast at 6:00 and dinner at 9:00 :eyecrazy:   In between there's the beach or hanging out at the site and watching the ocean while enjoying a beverage of your choice :morning:

If you're coming for the day just tell the guard that you're with James White in the Group Site.  That will let you avoid paying the $10 day use fee.

Beautiful weather (about 80 this weekend) with an ocean view, what's better than that.  We'll be camping on top of the world.

Thanks for the invite, we would love to go but we will be camping in the sierras, Shaver Lake area. Also, it is a bit to far for us.
