Jennifer, it'll be so good to see you and the girls again.....It's been a long time.  Glad things are looking up for you and your camping bags are packed....Wish our grandkids were coming with us to Lopez they would love to see the girls....Are you going to Pt.Mugu on Labor Day?  I think we'll have them all then.  carol

Hi.  So the girls' VBS begins on that Monday, the 28th.  They do not want to miss the first day.  I called and changed our reservation....we are coming in on Wednesday (vs Thursday) and leaving on that Sunday.  Looking forward to the rally!!!

Dee....do we need to buy our waterslide tickets soon?

I can answer that question. You buy your tickets the day you go to the water slide at the water slide gate. Here are the prices from there web site.
This is going to be a really great Campout, cannot wait for it.

Hi, all! Popping by to see how your trip planning is going!

A little FYI -- If anyone's allergic to stinging insects, beware there are lots of yellow jackets at the water slides. They usually swarm around the concessions area, but they are other places as well, which is a bummer since most people walk barefoot there.

wavery

We have to back out of this camp-out  :% ..........just too much going on  .

If anyone wants our spot contact Dee and/or Recumbentman. Brad (Recumbentman) actually has the reservation and Dee is keeping it all straight (if certain people would stop messing with her  :D ).

6Quigs

I see they have a marina there as well, where we can rent a boat.

"17.5FT Bayliner 135HP 6 Passenger Maximum Capacity 885LBS $350 a day"

I have a 2 person tube, water skis, wakeboard I can bring along.
Any interested in sharing the cost of renting a boat for the day?

Dans says yes, but only 1/4 of it...That looks like sooo much fun, but the current condition of my back I'm sure my Dr. is going to say "are you nuts" but Dan & the kids would like it....I was  looking at the boat rentals (Pontoons) it would actually not be that expensive if enough joined in and went in shifts.

Dee Jim says that sounds like lots of fun if you can get some others to help with the cost.......Also, he says he wants to drive for a little while,Hahaaaaa

OC Campers

We would be game to go in on the boat too.  The kids would like the speed boat, the old lady (me) would like the pontoon boat (more my speed:D )

yeah..That's 3..only one more 2 commit...Dan wants to do the innertube thing..and he figures 1/4 of $350 is do-able for the whole day even in shifts

I just wish it held mor than 6 at a time..hey..Kevin and 5 kids :p

Remember Dee, Once the 6 Quigs get on board, that's 6 people and that boat is full!!

That $350 is just the cost of the boat rental. Gas is extra. last time I rented a boat, 2 years ago, I spent an additional $85 on gas, so figure an extra $100 to $125 or more on gas, depending on how much we use the boat, and if it is a lot of blasting around at full throttle, or just puttering around, taking the kids for tube rides.

Hey, we are up to 4 families interested so far. Maybe more will be interested, and we might need to rent a second boat!! Either way, I am defenitely renting a boat. My kids would spent the full day out on the water tubing, water ski-ing and wakeboarding if we let them. It just can get a tiring, being in the hot sun all day, and if the boat does not have a sun shade, keeping the kids covered in sunscreen if a full time job.

Add us to the list of families interested in renting a pontoon boat.
