Current Tent guy..

Hello all,
This is Chris in San Diego and I'm currently a tent camper, planning on a pop-up in the next year or so. We are fairly new to the SoCal area, we moved down last year with the Coast Guard. We love to camp and would like to find some other people to camp with. So, will you let a tenter among you?

BTW- So far we've been camping at Agua Caliente twice, Disneyland and Camp Pendleton once, not a lot of camping so far but we're still learning the area.

welcome..Hey it doesn't really matter what you camp in. We are a fun group, the only problem I see with the tent is some places we camp won't allow tents on the RV sites. Keep checking the board (at least every other day..things can happen fast around here) and if you find a campout you like join post it  and we will figure it out.

we have the Campland one in San diego Mid Nov. I believe I'm full but I maybe able to get another site or put you on the waiting list.

Welcome to the group!  As a new person to the group I can tell you that SO FAR they are a nice bunch of folks.   Check out the Campgrounds for the rallies that are planned and see if there are any openings.  As a tent camper, you may find a spot when those of us with a PUP cannot.

Oh and keep an eye out on Craigslist for your PUP we bought ours this year and got a really good deal fromt he original owner, MUCH cheaper than a dealer.  As a matter of fact there is a PUP for sale from one of the SCCamper members right now. LOOK HERE

Thanks all!
We're not quite ready to buy a pup yet as we have nothing to pull it yet. I have an Accord Coupe V6, but am VERY hesitant to pull with it due to the short wheelbase and Honda's transmissions woes. We are looking to get a minvan or Ford Edge sometime this year, one of those should pull a pup just fine.

    We too welcome you to our ever expanding great group of people. We camp from the smallest pup to motorhomes! As mentioned before I do have a pup for sale!~ Price has just dropped this week. Now asking $5,400 for it.

  As always, learning the SCCamper rally song and be able to load up your tow vehicle with lots of firewood and your in.
