What are you calling upstate NY? I live in the Adirondacks and consider that upstate. However, many people think Westchester County, Rochester and Syracuse is upstate.

Try the Want Ad Digest . It covers a good portion of the capital area (Albany) plus some of Vermont and Mass.

Also- post down in the classifieds.

1982 Gloversville High School graduate here....

Have you looked at Alpin Haus? They actually gave us a great deal on our first pop up (used) and then, when we traded up to a larger pop up, they were great to us.

The deals stopped when we were looking to purchase an HTT.

Have you checked out Craigslist?

Its not a Coleman, but thought it may be worth a look for you.

Here's a Coleman, but not sure of your budget.

You might find something else to your liking on Craigslist in another region as well.

I don't know if you're close to Big Flats but we got our '99 Coleman Seapine from Walker's Four Seasons; their web address is

//www.walkersfourseasons.com

They are family owned for 2 generations and have a couple of used pups on their site now.

I agree with keeping an eye on Craigs List.  I bought a 2000 Coleman/Fleetwood Fairview that was garaged.  Criags List was a goldmine for looking at pop-up's.

Make sure you search many different ways using "popup", "pop-up", "tent trailer", coleman, Fleetwood, ...  Many people that list them do not know what to put down.

The one I bought was for sale for over three weeks because they did not list it very well with the right keywords.

If you are in a hurry to get one you may want to look at a new one.  When I was looking I was not in a hurry and looked at a lot of frogs before I found a keeper.

Whatever you do don't go to Boat & RV Warehouse.  They had a spot at Crossgates mall...not sure if they still do.  They've also got a place off the thruway at the Coxsackie exit.  Stay away.  We went in looking for a pup and told them we wanted to stay around the 19,000.00 area.  They showed us one broken hybrid that the salesman swore was never used...after dragging out two batteries he still couldnt get the slide out bunk to slide.  When we asked about pop ups (they handled Palominos) he said he could show us a brochure and order us one.

We ended up going to Hempstead NY to Tent & Trailer City who I have come to adore.  Treated us like we were spending a fortune and we were only buying a used Hemlock for 8900.00.  Joe is great and worth the trip.

Campers Barn in Kingston NY is also a reputable place.  We looked there and were pleased but then decided not to buy new.  My brother has purchased there and is a happy camper.

You are welcome.  When questioned why they had no pop ups on the lot the salesman kept saying that they just started handling them again so they had something to offer everyone.  Later,  when I asked how long it had been since they started handling them he admitted it had been a year and a half.  Then tol me that they really didn't push them because they don't really make any money on them.

Between that and the fact that the only unit he showed me was broken I thought better about doing business with them.

I wish you well in your search.  It's a lot of fun!  Keep checking the net too...you never know what you will come across.  That's how I ended up with the very unit I've been wanting for years.
