Not looking good for us, but I haven't cancelled yet  :(

Andy, sorry I haven't had time to deal with the camper - problems with my mom (I need to go to FL) and also Kelsey's back problems (ortho, xrays, bone scans -testing for fractures).  I keep telling myslef if I had your camper, I could come to N/S lake on my own (maybe). I saw a 91 roanoke on ebay today and it says it's a 10' box, weighing 1500 lbs (empty). Is that right? Maybe they listed it wrong. I'm really looking for something little and light, not necessarily fancy.

Hi

Tracy and Scott and whoever else will hopefully show up;
Selena's on Friday and /or Saturday is fine ,like Tracy said, whatever the group like"s to do.We will most likely be confined to the campground/site for the weekend anyway,if we are bringing the "puppy's".

Diane, sorry to hear about your mom and Kelsey, hope everything goes well.
Don't sweat the camper ,it's here and not going anywhere soon and it doesn't eat any bread! If you are interested at all, you take a look at it when the time is right and you can take it for a trial run ,too.

Hope to see you all at North South Lake

Ooops,forgot something.
Diane,it's a 91 Roanoke and it has a 8 foot box, just measured it and it is about 6 1/2 feet wide. I could not find the sticker with the weight on it,(it's raining right now,as you probably know) ,but I remeber something about 900 lbs. I pulled that behind my old Diesel , like it was not even there.

I plan on being at the campground early Friday morning.  When do the rest of you plan on getting there (I know you aren't sure yet Scott).  Since I am coming by myself I am planning on bringing KC along for company.  Can't wait to camp again!  I am not sure, but I think this weekend I will spend my 365th night in this camper.  If I am right we may need to have a camper party.:)

Nic and I talked this morning and we are going to leave around 2 so we will not be there until about 7ish.  We will bring Mooch so KC will have someone to play with.  Can't wait to see everyone.

WAHHHHHHH!!! I want to go too! But it is too far for a weekend trip....
I opened up and cleaned out my camper and it is all ready to go......

DH went and picked up the boy scout trailer last night and pulled it with our new to us 99 Explorer....he said that he didn't even know the trailer was behind him.  I can't wait to tow my camper now! :D

me too me too...Raymond is leaving town Friday to Monday to spend the weekend with his daughters and grandkids...That leaves me all by my lonesone...I had thought about going south with the camper as the Navy Rec area is in the same county they all are...but naaahhhh!...

Anybody not going roughing it with Rick, for something a little closer???

SheBantam

I looked again, it is 238 miles, that is just too much towing a trailer for a weekend.  I am looking for something closer to home...I REALLY want to go camping.

Hi everyone
There is a chance that we are not going to make it.Got a call  ,on Tueday, from a friend in Germany and he arrived Wednesday ,with his wife, in NYC. We are trying to meet ,if possible, but don't know the details yet.
I figured ,I let you know now,not that you are wondering what happen to us and calling up there is not possible, since there is no cell service.
Still hope to see everybody, but we just don't know.

Well Andy, It sure wouldn't be the same without you but I understand with your friend coming in how important and rare that would be also.  Either way, hope you enjoy.  If you are not there I will make sure to throw a log or two on for you.  Ah, lets say maybe since I like you guys so much I may throw a whole bunch of logs on.  :yikes:

Doesn't look like we'll be camping, either. I'm hoping to come up on Saturday if I can get away, but really busy with stuff here. Good news is that although Kels is still having back pain, a bone scan ruled out stress fractures in her lower vertebrae (what her doctor suspected). So, she's happy she's allowed to play again :# . Sitting out hasn't been fun, but it did allow us to go camping  ;) . So, she'll be playing down at TCNJ on Sunday (if it doesn't get rained out).

Andy my friend has a sister here from Australia and my friend decided that Australia is a foriegn country and she thinks the whole country is outback, so she will not let her far traveling sister in her house, after making plans before the surgery. So I am playing hostess to her tomorrow and Sunday. She has canceled most of her trip here, and will go home on Monday...My friend had brain surgery and she is not quite the same person (spent last Sunday in Baltimore with my friend)...

Well, we arrived back last night.  Then Nic went and sprained her foot coming out of the camper.  However, even with all the Fog, it was still a great trip.  Sorry so many couldn't make it out but I definately covered putting a log or two on for everyone who couldn't make it.  Ric, I melted the grate but wasn't able to melt the rails off before I put the fire out.  Sorry to not live up to your standards.

DiW

Sorry we had to leave before the fire but happy your family and Tracy got to enjoy it. Nice to see you all again. My kind of camping (eating out). Our ride home was uneventful. Weather was much better as we got down the mountain. As we expected, Kelsey's soccer team got killed at Sunday's game, but it was a good day anyway. Those girls were amazingly skilled. Guess that's why they're ranked #1 in NJ. The weather was beautiful here. Hope the skies cleared up in the mountains, because I got a sunburn.

dademt

It was great that you guys got to come up.  The fog only slightly broke for a couple minutes as we were hooking up the camper.  Then it rolled back in and stayed in until we were part way down the mountain.  After that it was sunny and nice.  Still had a great time.
