Quote from: flyfishermanLisa ~ chocking the wheels first thing is always a good idea ... there's stories around here of popups suddenly rolling away from their owners when becoming un-hitched!

This is an excellent point!  On our last camping trip, I cranked the tongue up off the TV ball, but had left the safety chains on....just in case.  Duh, why I didn't throw down my wheel chocks, I don't know.  Anyway, as soon as the hitch came up off the ball, there went the PUP........KAWANG against the safety chains!

Had I not left the safety chains on, I would currently be in the market for a new PUP!

I had ours start moving unexpectedly once.  Fortunately, I was right at the tongue, and pulled the breakaway cable, which stopped it dead.  It was a very sandy site, we had chcked the wheels, but it was, well, very sandy.  I had a notched 2"x6"x8" board for the tongue wheel, and it shifted, prompting the tongue wheel to roll off.  It would not have gone far because of the sand.

IIRC, it was, um, interesting pulling out of that sand.
