So about how many miles have you towed this summer?  I know that technically the summer isn't over for the next few weeks, but with DS back in school, it's over for us.

OTOH, the fall camping season is just beginning.  :U

Jersey to Montana and back with some side trips- about 6500
Jersey to Virginia Beach and back- about 800
Jersey to Lancaster PA and back- about 350
Misc. short weekend trips- about 300
 TOTAL MILES- about 7950.....
.... Maybe I can squeeze one more short trip to bring it to 8000.LOL:)

just over 2400 in 10 outings - all 2 or 3 nighters

sleepy topic, eh?

OC Campers

I would say about 1000 miles.  One of our trips was 700 miles round trip.

seasons not over yet here .... we still have 2 more weekends planned, but both are close to home.

Our longest trip was to the UP and we put on about 1200 miles all told.  Adding in our other trips will probably bring us to about 1600 miles.

We usually take our longest trip in October, so will probably end up over 2,000.

1,265mi round trip to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
400mi round trip to Kings Canyon National Park.

1,665mi total so far.  Would like to get out a couple more times this fall, but with the beating we just took from Chevron on these last 2 trips, Camp Backyard is looking mighty appealing!

We did a two-week trip around Lake Michigan = 1000 miles
A weekend trip to Pinery Prov. Park on Lake Huron = 400 miles
A weekend trip to Silver Lake State Park on Lake Michigan = 500 miles

Maybe one last trip near home before winterizing . . .

Oops - technically it's 0 during the summer, if you go by the calendar.  Wow, that is pathetic!  4 trips by Memorial Day added up to about 1000 miles.  Then some health issues, extreme heat, and other stuff just got in the way.  We plan to get several trips in this fall so intend to increase that number a bunch.  And, we did a non-camping vacation where we logged somewhere in the vicinity of 2500 miles.

Im the sorry one that chose option 1, but not because of gas. Fixed up, sold old house and bought new one this year. Last weekend was FIRST trip of year.  Now thats sad.  Ive only had the boat on the water 3 times since April, and the backpack has been used once.  We are settled in now so let me go to the woods!

Well, my trips weren't during 'summer', but January had a trip to Florida for 14 days, then March to the Eastern Shore which was another 250 miles RT, 4 trips each at about 300 miles each (RT), and who knows where I will go before year end!  Hopefully somewhere warm with a pool (broke my leg and had surgery, so need to do therapy kicks in a pool).

don't pay much attention to mileage....we've done a lot more trips with a lot mroe days this year than we ever though possible and it may not be over. We prefer shorter trips with longer stays in between....just what works for us!  We're fortunate to have several nice campgrounds fairly close....within 5 - 100 miles!

I have towed the trailer over 5000 miles this season, but I have also gone a quite a few trips where I didn't have to tow my trailer.  I have over 8000 miles if you include them.:)Not done camping this season!

I picked 600-1200..that sounds like a good guess

We towed about 1,800 miles.  One big trip to the Smokies, and a few smaller trips here within Michigan.  The camper is winterized and waiting for the final tow up the the barn for the winter.

Our F150 is a thirsty TV.  The lease is up next month, and I'm not sure I want to feed another one!  But I really do love my truck, and we really do use it.............:D
