Any interest in real boondocking?

My decision to purchase a PopUp back in 2004 was heavily influenced when I saw a 2003 Fleetwood Niagara happily boondocking in Holcomb Valley, about 5 miles North of Big Bear Lake.

There are no hookups. The road to get there is dirt, mud, rock, sand, and uphill.

The guy had flipped his axle, upgraded the wheels and tires, and he had a nice 4x4 SUV to pull it with.  Kinda like the pimped-out SURFcampers rig! :p

While I like the concept of boondocking in the boonies, I havn't made any offroad modifications to my PopUp.  I'm open to sites where my PopUp will not disintegrate getting to and from.
