I'd be first concerned with the tow capacity of the towing vehicle.

Then, although your children are small, you will need to assess your changing needs as they grow older, as well as your own.

What is your camping style?  Do you plan State Park trips, private campgrounds, or boondocking?

Make a list of the 'must have' amenities (AC, furnace, potty/shower, bunk sizes, dinette style).  Then, get into the floor plan - picturing your entire family stuck inside the PUP for hours during inclement weather.....where will the kids play?  Where will you and spouse be?  What about pets?  This will help you determine a floor plan you can live with.

Having a 'full service' reputable dealership is a major consideration.  If you need future service or miscellaneous parts - will this dealership deliver?

Happy Camper Hunting!

Thanks again for the welcomes.  There was some water damage and a leak in the front storage box that were missed, but the dealer has been great to work with about alleviating the problem.  They'll probably take a loss on it by the time they put the work into it.  We were horrified when we found the damage and the leak (it had not rained around here in weeks until we brought it home.)  We thought having bought it used, we were out of luck, but Tom Raper RV in Indiana has been great to work with.

We're scheduled to camp the first weekend of November, but that's if the repair work is done by then.  If it is pics from our maiden voyage will be forthcoming.
