I'm sitting here at work between the Castaic and the Canyon Country fires watching Ch 9 and see now that there ar a few other towns burning that some of our fellow campers live in.  Foothill Ranch (Griffsmom), Ramona (Hardeepoppers kids), Anaheim Hills (Dee4j), and so on. Let us know if you all are ok.

we are ok..how are you getting home from work?? traffic is a nightmare, roads closed everywhere, My sister hasn't had power since the middle of the night.
Trees down everywhere and the air is just nasty

Carolyn's son (my step-son) lives just outside of Rancho Bernardo, in Northern San Diego County. In 2003 their home burnt to the ground in the Cedar fire.....today he is, at this moment, watering down the roof of his house once again. There are 100 homes on fire in his area.

I feel compelled to go down there and give him a hand. On the other hand, I don't want to become part of the problem :eyecrazy: .......very frustrating.....

I haven't figured it out yet.  But it will take a couple of hours as opposed to the normal 40 min.

Gees....My brother just called from Fallbrook, CA. They are being told to be prepared to evacuate.  The problem is, every road around them is closed. I hope that they will open up the road through Camp Pendleton to let people out of there.

We own a house in Fallbrook as well, I tried to call our renters and tell them to just leave but I can't reach them. Thankfully, they are both Dr's and work on Camp Pendleton.

WHAT A MESS!!!!

The weird this is that here in Beverly Hills, there is not a leaf moving. Not even the slightest breeze.

I thought I'd let the So-Cal's know PJay and I will keep you in our prayers.  I hadn't been following the news too closely, but when headlines said 250,000 evacuated, we went into remote-control help mode.

Keep us informed, but above all stay safe.

Down in the Rancho Bernardo area the news is saying they will lose in excess of 300 homes and they have had one fatality so far.

It's bad all over So. Cal. Now lake Arrowhead is burning with more than 70 home lost.

Everyone keep us posted.  I can't imagine trying to pack up stuff and leave, it would be hard to choose what.

If there is ANYTHING we can do to help, post and let us know!

We're sooo sad for anyone that loses their home.  I pray that everyone in the fire areas keep themselves safe.

As I type this, I'm now hearing that a new fire has erupted in Stevenson Ranch.
This is just terrible

Foothill Ranch is on Fire Again. It's real close. We almost had to evacuate. We are packed and ready to go. Griffin is at Wynn's.

PS We've packed our 2007 Halloween and Fish Squad T shirts.

Griffsfamily, stay safe!  I hope Sue and Dave are ok, Rancho Bernardo has burned already.  The smoke smell is thick and ashes are falling in Long Beach from the Arrowhead and Orange County fires.
