Those houses are well built, with fires in mind. I am sure that is why they didn't evacuate you.
One block away from us, evacuation was mandatory. We were under voluntary evacuation orders, but as you can see, we chose instead to stay and drink beer with our neighbors. I guess it just goes to show you can take the griffsfamily out of the fish squad, but you can't take the fish squad out of the griffsfamily. :screwy: :J :sombraro:

Wow, Lori, those pictures were pretty intense. I couldn't imagine going through that experience. Glad to see you and Dave had your priorites straight :!

My sister, who lives in Orange County (you know, the OC) about 75 miles north of here sent me this link about a week ago. I hadn't had the time to look at it until this afternoon.
 
It was so well done, and put such a human element on what many people here experienced a few weeks ago, I thought I'd share.
