We are presently at the Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park in Mill Run PA about 1 hour south of Pittsburgh. The weather is sunny and crisp, and other than a few people in cabins, I think we are it. There must be 1,000 feet on either side of us so it is not like I can give you an honest opinion of how spaced out the sites are - but can tell you that when all the ground brush blooms, I doubt seriously you would feel crammed into one site after another.

I also became a Pennsylvanian yesterday - went to the DMV, got my drivers license and the next step is buying a car with PA license plates - then I really am close to being back to being a Yankee. Still have to sel a VA house - and most of you know how bad the real estate market is!

Just wondering if there are any secluded areas there that would allow a rather large loud group of fisherman? Thanks in advance! And welcome to the Keystone state!

If you are asking if they have a hall or enclosed building large enough to make some noise, I did not notice any function rooms. They do have a restaurant - not sure of the hours they are open, but maybe they rent the space.
Now if you just want a spot where you can get several campsites together, they are open all year and I am sure they can put you off into one of the less habitated areas.

Great campground.
Thanks for the welcome - we are getting there. Have to sell house and then everything will move. I cross the Mason/Dixon as often as I can!

Thanks Dave. I apppreciate the info and shoot me any questions about your new home state as my territory covers the whole thing and I have put together a pretty good arsenal of information on parks, restaurants and other just fun things to do.
