From reading your site, it seems that mice are a common culprit to a PU...same goes for me.  I have 3 holes where the buggers ate all the way through my fabric and vinyl tent.  I have successfully patched both inside and outside with fabric and vinyl.  It looks like you could play "connect the dots" on the ceiling now.  So, I'm wondering if I could attach a single sheet of cotton fabric over my patch job to hide this.  If so, how would I do this?  Carefully use fabric glue?  Any creative ideas?  My camper is in great shape otherwise, but I don't have the funds to replace the canvas.  It's usesable, just not very presentable.

Welcome to PUT.  You could try using headliner glue to attach material to the tenting.  I haven't done this and I don't know if it will work or not.:)

We had the same problem we used tear aid patches which are clear it was not nice to look at so my wife bought some cotton frabric and we used velcro to attach it to the roof. Have used it for a year know without no problems.

get some Pop-up Gizmos  http://www.popupgizmos.com/bunkcoverpage.htm   - they'll temporarily cover your unsightly bunkends, keep you warmer / cooler, and you can STILL use them later if you ever do replace your canvas!

if you don't want to spring for the cost of REAL Pop-up Gizmos, you can use emergency blankets - sold here and elsewhere....  http://www.cabelas.com  look for 'sportsman's space blanket'  you want the layered ones, not the thin sheet of silver plastic, $1.99 ones that will just tear up.

Is your canvas - CANVAS? or is it canvs/with vinyl or sunbrella or something else?

I'm not sure it would work, or how long it would last, but you could experiment with iron-on adhesive and vinyl - which would waterproof your patches and give you a solid exterior, at least. You can get Iron-on  fabric binder in sheets at craft and sewing stores. Look in the area where they have interfacing. I've used this stuff to patch jeans and canvas in my old PUP, and it held up pretty well.
