Here is a basic idea of Saturday the 25 of Oct.

Pancake Breakfast @ 9:00 am at the clubhouse above Birch.
Everyone is on their own from there.
   Craft Project by Kristi M. & Bob G. @ 1:30 pm.
Trick or Treating @ 3:30 pm.
Costume contest after that at the main campfire. Remember to bring a "prize" for each child in your family so no one is left out.
Group picture before dinner @ 5:30 pm.
   Potluck dinner @ 6 ish.

remember we are 1 week later this year and daylight savings time is Nov. 2nd this year.

To round out the night, Lori (Griffsmom) will be reading scary ghost stories at the campfire after the potluck.

Then it's the parents turn to just chill out and enjoy!

Any thoughts or changes are welcomed. It's your time with your kids.
Also there is the Other Pumpkin farm that I have a link to on page one.

Don't forget outside movie for the kiddos after the scary campfire story.   Maybe something Halloween themed, like Nightmare Before Chistmas, or Monster House--suggestions anyone? :D

Ghostbusters?

Nightmare on Elm street?

Nightmare on Elm street?
Interestingly, even though Ghostbusters has a "PG" rating, the ratings back then were not as stringent as they are now. There are language and adult situations in Ghostbusters that, IMHO, are inappropriate for kids.

Nightmare on Elm Street? Now I know you're just pulling my leg.... :p

Dee,
Do you have to look for a new line of work because YOU choose to stay off your feet ( as a DJ ) or because you had to take time to recover?

my job not only requires lifting 50 lb speakers, It also involves tapes lines on the floor and the big one repetitive  bending at the waist getting CD's out of cases. with the danger of twisting...it looks like a long time recovery with milesstones at 6-8 weeks, 3 months then 6 months. at 6 months he wants me to start pilates with a pilates place that has a post surgical expert. His patients have reported good results. apparently (so he tells me) joseph pilates is a physical therepist and devoleped this technic after his own back surgery...as far as the "drop foot" wherever I am at a year is possibly were I will be with that...I've dumped the walker and have a cane now.. :-()

ooooohhh for Halloween I can be Charlie Chaplin or Fred Astaire  :p

Well we are bad parents I guess, cause our kids LOVE that movie!!

It's not that you are bad parents, but that your kids are probably better and wiser about what they blurt out in front of a teacher or pastor. Mine would immediately start talking about the suggestive sex scenes between Sigourney Weaver, Bill Murray and Rick Moranis, not to mention Dan Aykroyd's cross-eyed dream sequence. And there would go my reputation with school and church...oh wait...nevermind, it's probably already too late for that. ;)

Griffen wouldn't do that?!  But I can sure hear the questions that he would ask....Boy you and Dave would have such fun.......Good luck finding a good film these days.....If it can be done you'll get the job done......carol

I have four suggestions and I will have to look at my DVD collection - I do have the following videos:

1. Nightmare before Christmas

2. Monster House

3. And the Classic a Charlie Brown Halloween

4. A Harry Potter Movie would be good without "he who cannot be named'

Let me know your suggestions
