VI Annual Trick or Treat Rally @ Santa Paula, 2008

Ok everyone...

  With only 42 days till the big Halloween rally in Santa Paula, I need to pass along a few items! :yikes:

  First, since a number of you have changed your trailer from last year, I need the overall length's of all of yours!

 Second, only one family has not sent in their money; Sue, if you could push Bryan closer to the mail box with a check, that would complete the monies!
All checks have been cashed! No worries thou, we are not skipping town!

Third, I really need 4 judges, two for the kids costume's and two other folks for the trailer decorating!

Don't forget to be saving your empty roll on anti-perspirant bottles for a small craft idea. Should be only the round ball style, not oblong!

Kristi would be very happy if a parent could be with their child(ren) when it is time to do the her craft project.

 So hurry up October! :eyecrazy:

   Pancake Breakfast @ 9:00 am at the clubhouse above Birch.
   Everyone is on their own from there.
   Craft Project by Kristi M. & Bob G. @ 1:30 pm.

   Costume contest after that at the main campfire. Remember to bring a "prize" for each child in your family so no one is left out.

   Remember we are 1 week later this year and daylight savings time is Nov. 2nd this year.

   To round out the night, Lori (Griffsmom) will be reading scary ghost stories at the campfire after the potluck.

    Scary kids movie inserted here!

   Then it's the parents turn to just chill out and enjoy!

   Any thoughts or changes are welcomed. It's your time with your kids.
   Also there is the Other Pumpkin farm that I have a link to on page one.
This is just to bring the plans forward as a reminder!

HOLLY MOLLY BOB, were you party planners in a former life ??  The only thing you have left out is the "minute" that Dee hits the switch on the blow torch on Sat nite..... ;)
For those of us that are schedully challenged, can you print the schedule for our reference, and laminate of course... ?   :D

 And why would you not think that I have already done this! The placard is even finished!!!

 As for when Dee throws the Flame on button, it will happen and you will know when it does.

New help wanted sign going out today!

   Since more than likely, My partner in crime (Dee) will be sitting this one out on the sidelines; I will get the fixings for the pancake breakfast for Saturday am! The breakfast was big hit last year and we are going to have it again at the same place but around 9ish!

 
So the help wanted sign is now out!

I need volunters to cook the pancakes and bacon! Also need extra electric skillets.

  What would be great is that the people who did it last year be given a break and new cooks and servers take over! We do this for each other but it seems the same people have the same jobs while others don't.
 If enough of you folks can join together it will go fast and run smoothly!

 Lastly it will probably be the same cost as year but don't hold me to that because I have not shopped costco lately! I will let you know if has gone up a great deal to raise the price of the breakfast.

hey don't count me out yet... I plan on cooking pancakes! who do you think is standing in my kitchen feeding everyone :rolleyes:

I see the Dr. again on Oct 16th. I'm assuming he will lift he 10 lb lifting limit. I started physical therepy last week I can already see the difference. when sitting I can reach the bottom strap on my leg brace and touch my toes. :#

I have a really large electric skillet to contribute to the cause!  Pancakes for all!!! :)

We'd be happy to cook pancakes and help clean-up after.

Seems to me that last year, most people were pretty good about sticking around and helping with clean-up.

I could bring my 3,000PSI pressure washer and we could just blast the place  :yikes:  when we're done... :sombraro:

 Wayne if you are going to that then you better bring your power painter too because we would have to paint the walls afterwards.
