Maybe after we get enough cans/bottles for Sarah, we start saving for us to purchase Farwest Resorts.   What do you think?

Quote from: Freedom_5Hey all you scary campers out there; the witching hour is fast approaching!

Can I get feedback from those of you that want to participate in the craft's  with Krisiti and Bob? This is so we know how much supplies to bring. You supply the pumpkins and don't forget the empty dry idea rollon bottles.

Also a reminder that anyone who might want to "add" an extra nite to their weekend; to let me know by this Thursday. The cut off to let the campground know is this Friday!

Still looking for a Judge or two for the trailer decorating and costume contest!

Gracy, get ready to sing at the campfire!

Lastly I want to send out a belated "Happy Birthday Matthew" from the GLMracer family. He celebrated it on Saturday with family and friends, out in the dez'.

Thanks Bob for the B-day wish. Matthew had great time riding this weekend.

Not sure if Matthew will want to do the craft but let's sign him up just in case.

I will be making Sweet n Sour Meatballs with white rice for the potluck, plus I'm bring cupcakes.

Quote from: GracyMy daughter,Cady would like to also participate in the crafts for sure. We will bring pumpkin carving utensils and stencils for her to use and will bring a pumpkin for her too. I have some tea lights too if you need us to bring some.

What is the "empty dry idea rollon bottles".... is that something we need to bring? We don't use that kind but I can buy one if its needed ;)

Let me know if there are any other art supplies we should bring.

Oh and one more question.... as for the prize we are giving our kids for the contest... is there a suggested prize we should get them?
The prize for the costume contest is that you bring a $5 toy (no more $ than that) for every child who is participating and put it in the pot.  The winners of the costume contest gets 1st picks and then all the other kids pick theirs.  No child goes home without a toy.

Quote from: kimrb266I have a couple request for you guys.  1.  Some of you in the past have made Sugar Free goodie bags for Josh for Halloween.  For those of you who want to do it again, could you please make it 2.  Sarah is at high risk of getting Diabetes in the next few years and the DR wants us to amend what she eats.   She's been taking the news pretty well and if she got something especially for her, she would be extremely happy.

2.  Sarah is in Brownies and needs to save 1,000 bottles/cans to earn her way to the San Diego Zoo or the Wild Animal park.   I will put a couple Recycling trash cans around our loop and would appreciate if you could put your empty recyclables in them.  She still needs over 750 to make her goal and every piece counts.  Thanks

No problem with helping you save cans, we always have one bag for recycling and one for trash. I will make sure to give you the can bag before we leave on Sunday.

I was planning on giving out non-candy goodies bags, hope no one minds.

How many kids are we talking about?????? That could get pretty expensive. If there's 30 kids, that would be $150 each :yikes: .

I think its 1 $5 prize for each child participating.... correct?  So if you have one child its 1 $5 prize you bring... if you have 3 children then its 3 $5 prizes you bring.  Am I worng

each person doesn't bring a prize for every kid. you bring a prize for each kid you have in the costume contest. So I would bring 2 toys.

note on the toys. if possible bring a toy that works for either a boy or a girl

BOB I saved roll on bottles but not dry idea, does it matter??

Quote from: TheVikingOUR kids? What are you not telling us?
Since my name is Jennifer:-() and my friend who I am camping withs name is also Jennifer, I could've said my kids and Jennifer's kids and everybody would have thought I was nuts talking about myself and also referring to myself in   3rd person. So... yes "Our" kids will be participating in the crafts. No the kids are not "ours" as in "ours together". We are not "together"  ;)  we are camping "together". :tent: Got it?

Here is the "why" I would like the rollon type. For this craft the "ball" is popped out of the container. Hopefully you have had these for a few days all used up so they won't be too messy. I am going to show the kids how to make "Eyes" for their pumpkins or whatever purpose they want to use them for. So at least 2 bottles of used up rollon with ball style applicator. I supposed you could subsitute ping pong balls but they would be larger than needed. So bottom line the "dry idea" brand can be another brand.

Thanks for the quick response! I even have Lisa who I have not seen on the boards reply. Thank you again. I know with your campaign and school you are very busy!
Griffsmom has also been absence from the boards. Looking forward to seeing all of our friends for this last big Hurrah for this year.
