Gracy

Quote from: Freedom_5I think Gracy is trying set a record of cooking all day and won't be able to hang out at the campfire! Too Exhausted
Actually we picked really easy things to make!  Except for the mashed potatoes & gravy, I must admit I'm trying to sway Shayne away from that because that is a lot of work!  :eyecrazy:

Please put us down for whatever is needed..... Shayne likes to cook and is really good at it.  I can do clean-up maybe............... that way one of us is always with our little one ;)

You see, Jim Q is probably right, too many pages of posts to read! I knew I would be forgetting someone's dish! That's why you keep me on my toes! I will update the list next.
Hope most of you are working on getting ready to go camping! This is the part of getting ready to rush around. I wonder when Dee is going shopping for pancake breakfast? Answer is: Yes, by way of the internet. Its called shop and click; ready on Tuesday.I wonder if Kristi will remember all of her carving supplies? Answer is: Yes, all of the supplies are loaded into the trailer! If Wayne will forget Doofus or Carolyn?
Oh well I need to get the trailer cleaned out today!Answer is: Yes, The inside is clean and getting organized! The food will wait. The clothes start going in on Tuesday. So Im on track!

Bob, Bob, Bob...I bought all of the supplies while camping at Riley Farms and they are sitting ready in the trailer.  BUT people should also bring any special things they want to use as well.  My supplies are basic.  Gracy offered to bring some tealights.

Now - get this...I am leaving in ONE HOUR and Dan has the kids the entire week all by himself...isn"t he the BEST HUSBAND EVER???  (hi honey! hope you're reading this! xoxo)

Anyways, IF you need to tell us something, please, please PM his screen name because I don't know if he'll check often AND I won't have computer access for a week (shocking!)  Oh - and if we owe money for pancake breakfast, PM him, not me so he'll know.  I think that's everything!

See ya'll late Friday!
:-) Kristi

Quote from: dkutzOk I will ask again, isn't there a good mexican place in Fillmore?  Is this the place?  Wan't it on Ca gold...

La Fondita Mexican Restaurant

Yes, La Fondita was on CA Gold....and it is yummy.  We ate there many years ago, when our oldest was about 1 year old (so 8 years ago).  It was a little hole in the wall, not anything fancy.  But, the food was good.  We meant to stop by last year, but it is in the heart of Fillmore...never found time.

There are actually lots of good mexican food places around in that area.  We found one, but can't remember the name of it or how to explain how to get to it. We actually liked it better than La Fondita (but it was more pricey). We are hoping to eat there again, if we find it, on Saturday (depending on our schedule...for lunch, or we may skip the potluck and go for dinner).  The girls at the front desk were helpful in telling us about places to eat....just ask.  Oh, and I know there was one everyone liked near Foster Freeze (do NOT go to Foster Freeze...no good!).

Yes Dave, one of the items above is on the menu. Since this is a "Halloween" rally you will just have to wait 6 more days! Trick or Treat!

Quote from: Freedom_5Ok with one week to go; a few reminders!

1. We need at least 8 electric griddles! More would be better!

just a reminder, we're bringing a large electric grill...should be able to make several good sized pancakes at a time. It's non-stick surface requires a plastic spatula...I'll bring one, too.

FOR THE POTLUCK:  Shepherd's Pie and a Goulish Green Drink (non-alcoholic) in a coldren....wha-a-ahhhh! eeeek!!
