I did call because with 2 kids and the dog, you never know how many times we will have to stop. The lady in the office told me where she lives in case I was late and she would come and open the gate for me if it were after 10pm.

Is there a grocery store anywhere close? Or between camp and the Pumpkin Patch?

We are delayed due to sickness.  I just called the front office and they said we can arrive in the morning.  Im so bummed, ive been looking forward to this :(   Anyway if all goes well we should be there around 8am.

Well, it was truly a nice weekend.  You all are good food for my soul, and I appreciate the friendships I have with you.

Most of you don't know, but my mom is in the final stages of lymphoma & congestive heart failure, and could very likely die within the next week or two.  While it's a hard thing to admit, she's ready to go and has made no bones about "being done".  My brothers and I are okay with her decision and hope that these last days are as painless as can be.  She's at home, receiving 24/7 care, and hospice is involved as well.  All things considered, it couldn't be a better situation for her.

Add that to a stressful year teaching & my parent conferences beginning tomorrow, and I really needed to be away.  While I might not hang out with you all at the campfire until the wee-small hours of night, I truly enjoy being with you all.  It's just good to know that you all are there and allow me to be me.

So, please put me down for next year (a different site, though, please!).  I've already got it put in my calendar!

Thanks again, friends.  And Happy Halloween -- again!

Laura, we didn't get the chance to meet you and Jed, which is a shame because we really do live so close, it would have been cool to chat.  I'm so sorry for your situation, I can't even begin to imagine what your heart is going through.... I'm glad you got to get out and have a fun weekend.  Many prayers to you and your family.

Bob and Trina you guys are way too AWESOME... and the fact you're "in" (not from) Bakersfield is even more awesome!  Maybe sometime when we are up at the lake we can meet up for dinner ;)..... or maybe Shayne and Bob can blow some stuff up! :yikes: Shayne says  Dove Springs!!!  :-() hahaha!!! Anyway we had a really great time and you can count us in for next years rally as well!!!

Kim, Richard, Dawnne and Dieter thanks for your patience with our screaming toddler :eyecrazy: I don't know whats worse, his screaming or us both constantly yelling "NO"! "Nicholas, Shhhhhhhhhh"! :eyecrazy:

Even though we didn't get to meet all 26 families in the group.  It was nice walking around after the potluck and seeing everyones decorated sites. :)  That haunted house was way too cool for camping!  Very well done!!!

We were out at 11am and home by 12:30pm!!!  OMG... did ya'll see gas under $3 at the turn off!!!!  I had a tear in my eye! hahahah!!!  No stopping at camping world like I planned though.... guess we'll save that one for another day.

Anyway, hope everyone else had a safe trip home and has a great halloween!!!

PS: Dee, You totally called it!  I think our girls are official camping BFF's now! hahaha!!!!

Bob and Trina,
Thanks for all you did to make the weekend so fun for all of us!  We had a great time.

Laura - you are in our prayers...take care of yourself these coming weeks.

To all other friends new and old - it was great to see you and hang out!

And for those of you who lived through my canoe drama at Lopez - for the record the newly landscaped backyard has Dan off the hook for at least the next 10 years!:-()   Boy was THAT lovely to come home to today! ha!

See many of you soon!
:-) Kristi

Gracy - It was nice camping next to you again.  Sarah really enjoys playing with your daughter.  I think everyone is used to me calling my kids.  usually, everyone knows my kids names within the 1st few hours (especially Joshua).

I too couldn't believe my eyes when I saw those gas prices.  I thought I needed to put on my glasses to see the sign correctly so I asked DH to make sure I was seeing things clearly and I did.

Bob and Trina - It was a nice weekend and am looking forward to next year.

Thank you to everyone who helped Sarah with her recycling effort. We brought home 5 lg trash bags, 1 kitchen bag and miscellaneous bags full of cans/bottles.   This along with what we've already recycled may have put Sarah at her goal.

Oh yeah Thanks to Wayne for the outdoor shower enclosure!  IT will come in handy.  And for helping me set up Harvey, and not laughing too hard when I was trying to back in!

Hope you made it home! :book:

Thanks Bob and Trina for all your hard work. And to everyone else that made this rally happen.

We really had a good time this weekend considering it was only a 3rd time camping in a REAL campground, I was kinda getting use to letting the water run. LOL

It was nice meeting everyone and are looking forward to next year. (Bob put us on the list for next year but we'll need a spot for a 33ft trailer)

Note to self: Don't Drink the Cactus Coolers :eyecrazy:

Thanks all for a great time.  It's been too long.  We hadn't taken the trailer out since Campland last fall and a quick trip to Dogwood a couple weeks back.

Special thanks to Jennifer and her girls for being great neighbors and taking Melissa to the pumpkin patch.  That let me have time to enjoy cooking chili.

Having the whole loop was great.  I was able to be a bad parent and let my 5 year old wander at will- though he did concern me one time by disappearing.  Finally after cruising the loop twice looking for him I found him in the trailer building with Legos.

We managed to hit the road at 9:05 and pulled in to the park in Lakewood at 10:55 for Melissa's 11:00 softball game.  Perfect timing.  Then we hosted the first stop of a neighborhood progressive Halloween party starting at 3:00.  By bedtime last night I was seriously exhausted.

Bob and Trina thanks for a great weekend!  Put us down for next year.

We are so excited that we made it there and back without a single problem, we now feel we can go anywhere.  We look forward to seeing everybody again sooner than later hopefully.

Bless you all,
Bryan and Heather
