Camping year 2008, we plan to camp starting  in January and go each month, from the local beaches to the desert, to Paso Robles and San Diego....and if anyone comes up with more ideas...we might just be there too!

2008 will be a good camping year!

We honestly haven't had time to think about it. I know of Newport Dunes, June Lake and Santa Paula, not sure if any others are booked or not....hmmm!

STUE

AzuzaTeach referred us/warned us about this group. Just moved up from trusted old Palamino pup to an HTT. Figure taking a couple of days to check it out locally in Dec. Have reservations at San Clemente Jan 1-3, and San Mateo Feb 15-17. Have Campland, Newport Dunes, McGrath and Casitas in mind but no dates yet. What other public/private campgrounds/parks might we consider?

I don't know what she could mean. We are a fine group of campers that camp together and play nice games of go fish while sipping tea, then sit around a campfire singing cumebyya, toasting marshmellows and drinking hot cocoa until we all turn in around 9:00.

Yeah, and if you believe that, Steve, we have some prime real estate in Florida for you!

Welcome, and I'm glad you found us!!  Some of us will be at San Mateo in February -- look for the thread about it.  Don't know where your spot is, but wherever, please come join us for our "tea" and campfire.

Also, take a look at the trip planned for July -- Lopez Lake.  There's a waiting list going, but often those folks get in.  Again, you could check to see if there are any spots not with us open & still hang out with us.  And there's one more biggie -- Santa Paula in October.  We've always done something around the Halloween time, so it's a tradition & the trip fills up fast.  Again, stick your name on the wait list & see what happens.

Glad you're sticking your neck out!  Just throw a few logs at Dee, some booze at Viking, and you'll be their friends for life!

Thanks for the welcome. San Mateo #23 Feb 15-17. Looks like we all have something in common such as canines, felines (ever heard of a Munchkin?), sailing, etc. Looking forward to meeting some of you all.:)
