Quote from: RecumbentmanLori, I wish I had comforting words regarding snakes, but I don't...I am beyond petrified to point that I don't even look at a picture of them!!!  we can hide in the trailer if needed (where the wine is!)

As you know we live in the Desert just be careful about picking up rocks and reaching under bushes and have kids and pets play in the clearing and yes do not leave shoes outside the trailer at night.  Plus snakes like to find a warm place to rest when the nights cool off ( usually on the roads or warm rocks ) You could see them in early morning and when the day starts cooling off they become more active.....Sooooooooooooo think before you reach. When packing up to go home look first then reach under those trailers.....Now with all this being said we have lived up here for 33 years and only seen one snake........No we do not live in a very developed area rocky hills right across the road from us....So it is snake country.........Counting the days......Can't wait really need this camp out..... :-()  :-()  :-()  :-()  :-()

Breakfast potluck.....Some kind of egg thing
Dinner.....still thinking....sorry
Viking I'm making something very special for you......... :p

Oh Great!  I have 2 very active boys who were planning on climbing and running around.  Now, I have to worry about them being bitten by snakes.   We'll have to keep a VERY CLOSE EYE ON THEM.

Kim I only posted this info so you'd be mindful  we will be in snake country just be careful and don't worry to much while in the campground.  Snakes really don't care for us very much and don't like noise so most likely they'll stay away.  Just need to be careful about reaching under those bushes and start to watch more in the dusk part of day.....Ya know I've seen more snakes in the mountains then the desert also when camping with my girl scout troop one time in Riverside we had a snake in our campsite......Found the ranger and he took it off and all was fine........I had 12 girls in my troop and we were sleeping in pup tents so it'll be fine........ Luv Ya

I just contacted Joshua Tree and I have good news all around.  To ease most of your minds, the bees and SNAKES aren't very active now because it's not very hot.  The snakes are there but the Ranger said they won't bite unless you step on them.   The kids can play on the rocks but will have to watch where they put there hands and feet.

Take a deep breath everyone, we WILL have a nice and relaxing time and won't worry about the little critters wondering around.

I also mentioned to the Ranger that we have 6 reservations in our names and she said that there shouldn't be a problem in gettng you into your site.  REMEMBER to bring your Reservation Confirmations.   I have copies of your Confirmaitons so if you need another copy, let me know and I'll get it to you.

10 more sleeps

I didn't read before I posted.  OOPPS!

Chez Way

It looks like Chez Way will be just the boys for this rally.  Samantha and I are staying home because my sister and her daughter are going to be in town for a family get together.

The boys will definitely be in for the potlucks.   I think they are bringing:

Breakfast--smokey links and mini donuts
Dinner--Tri-tip

I'm really sorry to be missing this trip but hopefully it is worth a repeat trip next spring.

Hi to all you ScCampers!  See you at Lopez Lake!
