I am camping this weekend and I just don't understand why the campground is so empty.  Had fun at the campground's Christmas party last night.  From the gift exchange I ended up with a very nice blender with a spout.

So were any other COTOCians camping and if not WHY???:D

It's that silly work thing.  And Christmas parties.  And the camper is winterized (except I COULD pitch a tent...).

More power to you, Tracy.  Does this mean that you now have a December camping trip in your camping journal?

For the record, I have camped every month of the year, but mostly with the Scouts, who are much more hardy than is DW.  :)

Nic and I have camped many times in the winter ( Scouts, CAP, etc... )  This month was just busy and we didn't get any planned.  Maybe next year.

This was my first December trip, because of how busy December is.  I don't know if I will get to camp in December again, but I did it and had an ice storm to tell stories about.  :)

You know how on planes they use to put the stamps on the sides for every kill.....Well, we are going to get you some with snowflakes, raindrops, sleet, and any other weather phenominon that there is so you start keeping track on the side of your camper.

LOL Scott!:D

Sorry, I am a fair weather camper, will do rain, and wind, but not across long bridges.  I tow high profile trailers so will not do anything resembling Ice and snow anytime with a camper on the back...I ain't crazy...

Going down to MB for Thanksgiving we had awful winds, and going across the Key Bridge, it really gave me fits, luckily that bridge is short, the Nice Bridge between VA and MD on 301 was also a rocky ride.  But add freezing precipitation??? Naw!!! I pass.

Well, our Christmas plans are changing.  We were going to go down to Pittsburgh area on Wed or Thurs. this week and return on New Years Day.  We were just contacted to play a wedding this coming Sat., so we'll go down Christmas day and return on Friday.  Still gets us camping in Dec., which is a first for us.

We'll be camping at Elk Neck with some PUX people for the 30th & 31st. I'm looking forward to starting the New Year around a campfire with friends.
