The weather report is looking much better this morning.  Looks as tho the storm is going to stay south of us....we will have showers on Friday and Saturday.  No heavy rains at this point.

I'll be on my way there in about an hour.  See you all soon.

Quote from: tlhdocIt doesn't look that bad on Accuweather.com .  Says rainy and breezy, but nothing about strong winds.  Saturday looks mostly dry.:)

Kels' coach said they play unless there's lightening. Not my idea of fun. So, still don't know if I'll see you all but Chris expects to be there Friday.

Raymond does not want me to bring the Baby. I got diapers last night and sippy cups and fruit...So we will see...I KNOW I aM NOT bringing Raymond!! So it is me and the little camper, unless he cannot get the car started, it is in front of the Cabin A...the insurance company is being a 100% pain in the rump...

I will be there sometime tomorrow. I may stop in Hamburg to see my friend and have lunch, may have ot park at Cabellas, this time of year with the Christmas stuff, Cracker Barrel has their bus RV spots filled with trailers wwith Christmas merchandise.

Anyone have friends that want our spot? I have to call in the am to cancel. Website won't let me do it now that it is past 0000hrs on day of reservation.

We've decided to cancel for this weekend. We are having problems with a rental property and a tenant. The tenant is giving the remodel guys a difficult time and we will need to babysit that tomorrow till at least dark.

Not thrilled about being wet all weekend either. PUP won't shut all the way...stays open about an inch when trailering. Not sure why. Don't want wet beds.

Hope you all have a great time! Will be wishing we were there relaxing instead of baby-sitting 50 yr old children (our tenants). I taste a margarita coming on...

Hi
If we get there at all ,it will mostly likely be Saturday morning.

Chris has been staying late at work this week, dealing with problems as usual. Got a call late Thurs night (as we were on our way home from HS Parent Night) with yet more questions/problems. He wound up needing to go into work today so he won't get to LL until late tonight or tomorrow morning.

Poured here today, yet Kels still has soccer practice after school so I have a feeling tomorrow's game is still on. I heard that they will have indoor practice IF the game gets cancelled so it doesn't look like we'll make it. The forecast looks better than originally thought. This morning's weather has vastly improved - light intermittant rain here now. So hopefully you guys can have a nice get together and campfire.

How are y'all doing up there? Everyone have their web feet and duck bills? DD went to my sister's tonight and DH and I had our anniversary dinner at Longhorn. Hope y'all have a great time!

A few people didn't show up, but most of the group came and we had a good time.  The food was good at the pot luck dinner.  CamperJohn survived 4 teenage girls in his camper.  Dexter is still a cute puppy, but a lot bigger.  Nancy is still looking for a camper.  Dademt's kids are all growing like weeds.  Paula has a darling grandson, that came on the trip.  I could take him home in a heartbeat.  We met Jim K and his mother briefly.  I hope we didn't scare them off.  All of our campers had a bath.:D

We had a great time and made it home around 4 pm yesterday.  Hit some heavy rains on the way home but nothing earth shattering.  Was a wet weekend but as usual, we all still had fun.  Thanks everyone for making it special.  It was great seeing everyone again.  And thanks to dexter's daddy, we had a tarp that we could string up that didn't break our backs trying.  It was a blast.

:D LOL - No, you didn't scare us off.  I am sorry that we pooped out and did not make it over to the pot-luck dinner.  We ate dinner at our site, but there was a cut-throat game of Disney Monopoly in progress that resumed after dinner.   Before we knew it, it was 9:30 and a 7 year old was a Tycoon.  We figured it was too late to saunter over at that hour.

I did not sleep well with the heavy rain over night.  Sunday started OK, but man did it come down!  We broke down at around 1:00 in the middle of the deluge.  We should have stayed later until it slowed down, but we had no way of knowing how long that would be.  We all got soaked, and the campers are a bit soggy too.  We hit the road at a little after 2PM and were back at the farm by around 3:30.  The rain stopped about an hour later.  :(

We set both campers back up last night to start the drying process.  This was our first camping trip in the rain with the popups.  Important lesson learned?  Don't pull out the shepards poles until you are ready to slide the bed ends in.  DW Jean took one out, then got distracted by something else.  Let's just say that bunk end will take a bit longer to dry out than the rest of the camper.

I made it home TWICE.  I took the baby home yesterday. I could not see me breaking camp with the 2 year old THAT close to the lake...We stopped at Cracker Barrel at Hamburg for Breakfast, and he was a "taco but" YUCK!!!!

Then we came on home. Jeffrey was here to get him, and Raymond and I came back last night.  DO NOT STOP at the Leesport Diner on 61 just north of 222...YUCK!!!

We got back about dark and enjoyed a campfire with Nancy, a perfectly delightful evening...

We packed up this morning and headed home, to find out we had to make a Bee-line (I had not put gas in the F150 guzzler since Leesport on Sunday Around noon so we were watching that gas guage and got there about a minute before the adjuster)...as the insurance adjuster would be there about 3:00 PM...Some teenagers (seen by a neighbor about 1:30 ish monday night Tuesday AM.) on a lark lit our Corolla on fire last MOnday night and the insurance co has been jerking us around..we have too many vehicles for their comouter system...a minivan, a truck and the corolla and 2 campers...
The good news is that the adjuster is totalling it out, he is concerned about the wiring since the fire company soaked down the car, and the whole inside will have to be replaced...that is market less deductible. so that is good.

Our girls had a great time and they were asking on the way home when we are going to do this again...Hmmm  John and I survived :)  It was so great to see everyone who made it!!

I am glad to hear everyone made it home safely.

Thanks also to Rich for having that light tarp that we could use.  It worked out a lot better then big blue.  That would have killed us trying to get it up in the air.  John, thanks for helping to get it down on sunday in the pouring rain.  I still wonder how many times we would have clothes lined a camper with our original setup for the tarp.  It really was a fun trip.
