I just called and changed our arrival time to Aug.26th and leaving on Sept.2nd
didn't want to pull the trailer all that way and not have a site so I paid the big 7 dollars to confirm it.......By the way she said they are filling up so maybe you will want to call them also.........carol

Which end are we going to try for it looks like we are going to be the first ones coming in and don't want to end up away from everyone.  Let me know what to try for.   carol

I'd say the closer to Site 1 the better.  But those are gone first, that's why we had to camp where we did.  Couldn't get enough sites in a row.

griffsdad

I'm now coming in on Wednesday the 27th!!!

I have never been here before, it sounds like even though we have a reservation it is first come first serve on sites? Are we going to be stuck way out from the group because we get there late? Any suggestions? The Earliest I could get there would be Thurs Morning, but then I would have to go home and pick up the family after schools out. NO FUN.

Kevin, it is first come, first served.  The sites are in a long line (think parallel parking).  I wouldn't worry about trying to be with everyone else unless you wait at the check-in gate for others.  I'm coming in on Thursday also and will hope that I'm not at the opposite end of the "street" from everyone else.

It's a fun place, but not real condusive to close, intimate groups.

The last time that we were here on a rally it worked out pretty well because Dee got there 1st and stood gaurd with her flame thrower for 2 days   :yikes: . It was OK though because she had a lawyer for back-up :p . The early arrivers did a good job of saving spots for late comers. It may be a little more difficult on Labor Day just because of the higher demand.

As this draws closer, we will have to get an idea of times when people will be arriving so that site saving will be easier.
