Thanks for asking. All of the TPUC'ers (TN PopUp Campers) are well, as far as we have heard. Several have communicated on our message board.

It got quite rough around here. I was thinking about going to Macon County tomorrow to help out, but I'm afraid I wouldn't get back in time to pick up Jessie, and Holly's on call.

I was up much of the night watching the radar on the 'net and TV, and almost brought Holly and Jessie to our safe room in the basement, but decided to let theme sleep, because, amazingly, I watched the storm part like the Red Sea directly over our house (I was watching radar at street level on the 'net).

I was talking with my parents in West TN during their part of the storm. They got 0.98 inches of rain in just 20 minutes, but came out OK.

All day at work, I kept thinking that I'd rather be doing search and rescue, or even cleanup, rather than my daily job. But my own paying job is needed to, since I work in the cath lab.

Thanks for asking, again. We are blessed, and nearly everyone I know came out OK.

How scary...glad everyone is ok. even though you don't know they are coming I think I prefer our Earthquakes. Most don't do damage when they hit, but then there are those big ones..

I went to a friend's house with our church men's group today. We have dry camped on his property and I heard he had a few trees down.

I wish I had taken my camera. It was incredible. Huge, 100 year-old trees taken down. A whole forest on a steep large hillside...down. Trees twisted. His barn is all but gone. They were home at the time, and thought they were gonna die. We cleared a path to their house and their barn for them. Contractors are coming.

I even saw a large piece of roofing tin plastered to a tree about 30 feet off the ground. The unusual thing about this was that it was pressed so hard by the wind that I could see the wrinkles of the bark on the tin. WOW!

All this reminded me of the Gulf coast after Katrina. Matter of fact, I saw areas in Gulfport that weren't as badly damaged as what I saw today.
