Another note do not know if anyone that is going to Pt.Mugu will see this post in time but just wanted to double check our directions per Map Quest....They have us taking the 210 to the 134W stay straight to the 101N take the Las Posas Rd exit #55 then merging onto the Pacific Coast  Hwy toward Santa Monica ending at Port Hueneme is this correct?????  I just hate getting lost and Map Quest has sent us to some really out of the way routes.......Thanks

Carol, if you're heading toward Santa Monica you're going the wrong way.  You want to go NORTH, not south.  Check your directions again.  :)

Today & tomorrow, and then I'm a free woman -- for 11 weeks!  Good for me!

Ok Campers.  We are there, and set up.  The weather was overcast and an awesome 68 degrees.  We are in what we consider the best sites we could get.  The area we have "Reserved" is sites 18-25 or so.  I'm in site 21, Dee is in Site 23, with the empty site between us for potlucks, etc. Kristi and Dee did their ceremonial 3:30am bedtime thing while Ashlee, Kara and I went to bed at 10:30, because we are responsible.  There are tons of Dolphins, and a few Seals cruising by about 50 yards off shore, and Huge fricken waves.  Anyway, try to get there asap so we can hold your sites!  Here is a little taste of where we are:

  My site(21)

 Dee's Site (23)

Looking Down towards Site 1

Looking Down towards Site 47

Taken out our Trailer door towards NW

Brain

You're directions are right on. You do head south towards Santa Monica for about 4 miles.  :D

I should be on the road no later than 10:00 on Friday, which should put me there by noon.  Thanks for hanging onto a site for me.  :)

UPDATE:  So I had to come home tonight, it was a planned thing.  So far, Us, Dee, Wavery, Recumbentman, & GLM'sGirl(Our ToyHo friends), are there.  They called tonight (after some refreshments) and said they think got the sites saved, so thats good.  I will be back there tomorrow afternoon to give everyone crap.  See ya.

I've packed the food, food prep stuff, and Grfiffin's and my clothing. After a chat w/Dee tonight, Dave started stressing hard that he was going to have to parallel park the camper tomorrow if he didn't get there early enough. Lo and behold, Griffin is no longer going to school to take his spelling test tomorrow, but is instead leaving with Dave "at 9:00 a.m." to get a site they can pull into.

I'm apparently the token working stiff of this group and so won't be arriving until Friday night. I'm pretty sure I'll be needing libations. Lots of libations so that I can look like this: :sombraro:

Well, Lori, if it's any consolation, I'm typing this from my classroom.  BUT ... I'm done with kids at 1:00 today and just have to endure the end-of-year staff breakfast & 15 min. check-out tomorrow.  I'm picking up the trailer after school today & getting it ready.  It's going with me to school tomorrow so all I have to do is go home & pick up Jed.  Carolyn's coming along, so we'll be there in good time.

Thanks again to everyone who's working hard to save a site for me.  I really, really appreciate it.

And Brian, thanks for the pictures -- just increases the anticipation!

See you all tomorrow!

Ummmmm....the token working stiff?  Plaheeeeez!  I took the Hauler down there Tuesday, parked it, set up, had a drink and went to bed.  Woke up at 4:00am, left the CG at 4:30am, got to work at 5:30am.  Worked until 5:00pm then drove home, (as in Lancaster). Got into work this morning at 6:30am, hoping to get out early so I can head to the beach, only to have to wake up Friday morning and head back to work.  I'm trying with every ounce of my being to make Friday a short day.   Now, given this information, when it comes to needing libations on Friday night, you and I will look like a couple of Seagulls that found a chunk of chicken on the beach.  mine, mine, mine!

Brian, Laura, and Lori,
Another "working stiff" heard from.....Wayne picked me up after work, and we headed up to Mugu...joined in campfire after setting camp up...then figuring I might need same 2 hrs to drive back down the coast to work today, I left at O'dark:thirty this morning, only to find NO traffic, and arrived 1 hour early...I'll be asleep at my desk by 2pm today!  But, after the blessed traffic-filled 2 hrs. to return after work, I will be seeking libations on the beach tonight!!
And, you can bet I won't be leaving for work tomorrow morning as early.
Sooooo good to see everyone again!!!  It is just gorgeous up there, as always, only even better this time because it's full of SCCampers!!  Woo-hoo!!!

My turn to be on my way to Pt. Magu!  I'm off to the train station and a lovely 3-hour train ride full of seeing beautiful ocean views, listening to my iPod, knitting, and drinking some wine.  Life is good!

I would like to like to give you all a report on how everything is going out here but we are headed out to the beach with those drinks that have the little umbrellas in them..........neener
