This is an item that has saved the day for me more than a couple of times, always carry the thing in my truck for back-up ...

Been a few times when someone's TV battery was run down in the camp ground or way back out in the boonies and this was what was used to jump start a run down battery.

They work well. I have one for our apt building. We have subterranean parking for 80 vehicles and I don't allow people to jump start vehicle to vehicle (fire hazard).  I probably use it 4-6 times a year.

It's important to charge those things once in awhile. If the battery sits too long, it won't take a charge. I just bought a new battery for mine on eBay for $14.

At 300amps is that one "good enough" to do the job?  I don't own one....which is ridiculous with all the car work I do....so I don't know what size one is best.

Here's a 900amp model at Northern Tool for $49

I'd be a little concerned about that type of advertising. It may tell you something about the product.

It may put out 900A for about 1 second but that's really not useful. The typical V6 low compression engine starter draws about 250A. A diesel engine starter will draw double that (500-600A).

I just pulled out my jumper battery to see if it has a cranking amp rating (it doesn't). The important thing is that it uses a 12ah AGM battery. The one that you posted uses a 9Ah AGM battery. I would be a little leery of it.

Keep an eye out, these go on sale periodically.

Don't know anything about them, that's why I asked.
