Now, for you folks in sun country - I went snow-skiing today. Who says you can't have fun without camping??

LOL  don't take this wrong, but being still in the midst of winter, even though it's spring I find it really odd that someone has to actually call it "snow" skiing...  as if there is another kind...   lol... right now water skiing here doesn't exist...

wow I am so jealous...

Quote from: GrizzlyTacoToday here in Vegas its a warm 78* so I decieded to pull the PU out of the garage and open her up and give her a good cleaning and get her ready for our upcoming trip to the Mojave Narrows for my daughters 7th Birthday. We gave her a choice of a party or going camping and she picked camping, thats my girl.......... When I was cleaning i found some stuff on the bunkends that i couldn't wash off with soap and water, so I tried this product i found at Walmart called "Holy Cow cleaner and degreaser" and did this stuff really work!! I even used it on some spots on the outside of the PU that i thought would never come off and it came off with ease. It felt good to set her up and just sit and relax inside the her. My DW went to McDonalds and gots us all some lunch and we ate inside the PU. We cant wait to get away from this crazy town and camp for 3 days. We'll be up there March 31, April 1 and 2 and return on the 3rd. I hope we catch some fish.......Ed C

I searched our local Walmart high and low but couldn't find the Holy Cow.  Do you remember which department it was in?

How I envy you campers down in the warm regions of the country!

We had eight inches of snow on Friday, and another two forecasted tomorrow.  I think we'll go pull the PUP out of the barn in early May.  By then the risk of frosty weather will be reduced........at least a little.

Have fun out there for us snow birds!

Well today we hit 90 for the first time this year. It was 92 last time I checked. Got the ceiling fans going, the windows open. My wife has had the a/c on in the car though I resist the temptation for as long as possible. Without a/c on the pup we will have to start camping in the high country before too long.

Maybe now is not a good time to tell you I have radishes almost ready to be picked, about 10 tomatoes on the vines, the zucchini has popped up and the onions are looking good. Growing up and living over 30 years in MA is one reason that I now live where it's warm most of the year. The fact that I can camp all year long is an added bonus.

Man, I'm not making many friends here am I?

If it makes you feel any better I haven't had to mow my lawn yet.

It ain't warm up here in the Northwest, but neither is it too cold.  We are heading south to Ashland, Oregon.  They have a nice spot on a reservoir/lake reserved for us.  We plan on taking in a couple of plays in town and to do some biking and hiking.  We're hoping to escape the rain.
